More 1-AA Preseason Rankings

Bartram said:
yeah, you got us there chief, but we got you in a few areas that are more important like school endowment and overall school ranking, esp given our much smaller size:

U.S. News & World Report Colleges at a Glance
Southern University
Undergraduate student body: 8,053
Endowment: $5,837,282
Universities?Master's (South), fourth tier :retard:

Tuskegee University
Undergraduate student body: 2,480
Endowment: $67,471,035
Universities?Master's (South), 32 :lecture:

I am sure your PRIVATE school does have more in some areas. But make no mistake about it. Since SU is larger and has a bigger alumni, I would be willing to bet the chances of a TU alum working for a SU alum is greater than a SU alum working for a TU alum. :nod2:

Now back to the Sports Board regularly scheduled program.

Please dont use JSU for your smack purposes. If Valley ran up a usual score on you guys, take it.

your right but what i can't take is your larger than life behind telling us that you are going to take the SWAC by storm!

All this love given to Valley is nice, but has anyone really looked at their schedule. It is no picnic. After Pine Bluff, MVSU has Southern on the road, Alabama A&M at home and then Jackson State followed by Grambling. There season could be over before it starts. While both Alcorn and Jackson State start their seasons rather light with good opponents. Scheduling is going to play a big factor in the end.

That is just a desperate post. :emlaugh: And I know damn well Tuskegee don't have a $200,000,000.00 + annual operating budget like The Southern University System. The flow of money is just as lop sided as the 10-0 football series...........but I digress. :emlaugh: All he is basically saying is they have restricted funds that can't be touched other than the interest to fund scholarships and maybe a few professor/chair positions. They need that because it is not like they are receiving any astronomical state appropriations. They should be lauded for their efforts, but certainly not on the sports board and also in the proper context. :emlaugh:

Southern, AAMU, JSU, and GSU will beat Valley.

It came from PsychoJag. I can help you out Rob. HE SAID THAT SU, AAMU, JSU, AND GSU WILL BEAT VALLEY!

Could very well happen. Again, Southern is tough at home. Jackson State always has Valley's number. Alabama A&M (on paper) should win the East and Grambling will still be good this year. Plus those games are clustered together. That's a tough schedule for anyone.

I don't think Valley has beaten AAMU since we joined the conference, and prior to that I think it was Totten and Rice in B'ham in 1984 was the last win for MSVU over AAMU. Based on historical data and last years anti-climatic showdown at Lewis Crews I think the Bulldogs will continue to handle the Devil's. Business as usual.

well historical data don't play games, players do, so we'll see what happens when AAMU comes to Rice-Totten.
