Well, I won't go into that cause you never know how former players feel about ASU. You know as well as I do that former players and alumni of HBCUs, well anyway...... I am going to leave that alone.

Only time will tell which approach will be successful. Regardless, unless you’re Nick Saban, a coach has to connect to the community or their days are numbered.

You are spot on. I think that applies to HBCUs in any state, not just Alabama.

I will agree that Comegy should have recruited Mississippi more but no coach, whether at Valley, JSU or Ole Miss, can rely mostly on Mississippi talent due to the 2.9 million population and a lot of the top level athletes either leave the state or go JUCO hoping to get that P5 offer.

The 5 stars usually leave Mississippi. The 4 stars usually do as well but those that stay are Ole Miss or MSU bound. The 3 stars are where Mississippi State feasted under Mullen. Whatever is left over with the 2-3 stars (and others) are left for USM and the SWAC schools in Mississippi.
