Mississippi's racist politics hits a new level

Seems the Board tried to find any reason to not appoint Taylor. He did well in North Carolina. Surely Mississippi would have improved under his leadership. Maybe they were afraid that he would try to implement CRT.

It wasn't the Board....they were the ones who recommended the black guy....It was the State Senate. (Legislature) They usually just rubber stamp whomever the board recommends, thus why he started the job in January...( Mind you the board was appointed by "them" as in the current Republicans in office...ie Governor etc.) You must also remember that Mississippi hadp the highest paid State Superintendent in the nation...(but poorest state in every positive category..but that is a story for later).

They could have voted on this the first day of the legislative session in January....they specifically waited until the last couple days of the session so there was no recourse but to appoint an interim white guy until the legislature is back in session again....more than likely next year...

This guy had moved his family and everything....been on the job three months...

These white folks in the Sip are something else....they refuse to let a black man make that kind of money...

Black people will never have the fair representation they deserve until they take it by force. They need to declare war and forcibly remove all the whites in power b/c the power structure will never change unless they do.

Mississippi continues to be one of the worst states to be Black. The state is 50% Black when properly adjusted for error but yet no Black person has ever been elected to statewide office
