Mississippi Valley State at Alcorn State: Game Updates - 2:00pm CT





I better not see no Alcornite beating their chest about this potential win or loss or I will roast their ass myself. We look horrible and need to improve quickly, especially with 5 straight road SWAC Games.

Charles Edmond (Alcorn Announcer, Grambling Grad) slick. He heard Dr. Crosby talk about hating not having the Grambling game here.

Nope, you learn from a game by reviewing the ugly gamefilm and THEN move on from the next. Just saying a win is win and knowing you really didn't perform to your best of capabilities and just ignoring your mistakes is ignorant. We had WR holding calls that could have went against us. If this was a championship game, we would have gotten blown out. Don't you get it? You have constantly stay on our team in order for them to improve. Letting up off the fire can cause us to get complacent. And besides...give credit where credit earned. Valley had a good gameplan. The only reason we won was because Valley has less scholarships than we do. If we played like this against somebody with equal scholarships, we would have gotten blown out.

Valley played a damn good game..I can't knock them...They started off the same way with Delta State....Morgan doing good with what he got.. At the Alcorn did what they had to do to win....On to PB!

I am not sure who they counted, but there were a lot more people than that at the game. Alcorn side was filled in pretty good. Not sure if they only counted paid attendance.......since it was High School Day. They were a lot of people down there.

PS. SWAC refs continue to amaze me with their incompetence!!! (Anyone at this game will understand my comments)

1. Why does it take a 5 minute conference to decide that a kick-off that goes out of bounds, the offense gets the ball on the 35.
2. On an on-side kick Alcorn was penalized 15 yards for hitting one of the up men too hard(unnecessary roughness) before recovering the on-side.

3. Why does Alcorn coach not get a 15 yard personal foul penalty for throwing his headset from the sideline to the middle of the field when he didn't agree with the call.
4. How can the referees change their mind twice on the same call.....
5. Why is a holding call down field on a breakaway touchdown penalty marched off from the line of scrimmage....
6. How is there two penalties called on two different opposing players.....but only one flag on the field. (A TD called back on this play)

There many others as well........This officiating crew should be banned from any future games....

Still trying to figure out why they call our defensive touchdown back...
 
I don't know how they came up with that att. number unless they left off the 1. It was a decent crowd there today more like 12500.I am surprised Valley did not bring more fans.
