I'll love to see this team with a better bullpen or better pitching all around. Wouldn't be surprised if the bullpen give this lead up though.

But hasn't he been getting his ass kicked with a full team most of the season? SU folks have more excuses than anyone I know.... Just say WE AINT NO DAMN GOOD THIS YEAR.... and get it over with.... First it was the stuck oversees coach... now exams?

Why in thee hell does Cador keep going to his bullpen. Hell just let the pitchers pitch for nine innings and let the chips fall where they may.

The Southern baseball team will not play a makeup doubleheader against Texas Southern scheduled for May 8 in Houston because it won’t have enough players available.

When Southern failed to qualify for the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament that begins May 14, coach Roger Cador gave 10 players who are from other countries or have long distances to travel home permission to leave after final exams, which end May 7. The cost for the families to change the flights would be prohibitive, Cador said.

The SWAC was waiting until the completion of the regular-season this weekend to see if the makeups would be necessary. The Jaguars play a weekend series at Prairie View A&M.

“Whatever the conference decides to do,â€￾ Cador said. “We’ll just have to eat it.â€￾

In fact, the Jaguars barely had enough players to field a team for their game against McNeese State at noon Wednesday in Lake Charles.

The Jaguars are playing McNeese State with just 10 position players and five pitchers in uniform. Freshman infielder Sergio Torres is the only backup position player and would be the sixth pitcher if needed.

Cador said several players didn’t make the trip because they were taking final exams, which began Wednesday.

Why is su having these problems and other schools aren't? Cador should be seasoned and experienced enough not to allow this to happen. Makes su and the SWAC look like a bush league conference.
Seems like Cador just said f**k it and gave up.:smh:

Hell if i know but at this point it don't matter. Now you see what we mean when we say our bullpen is the reason. We give up a grand slam to lose the game. :lmao:

Cador plays the game of baseball correctly. You can't ruin a player's career and potential of going to the next level by making him throw too many pitches.

I'm not in favor of a player being over pitched just for a win. A starter should be able to at least go 5 or 6 innings depending on the pitch count. Some pitchers are just that good to have thrown about 60 and are already in the 7th or so inning. He plays it well though.
