Wow!! We beat Oklahoma State, but get waxed by Alcorn? :retard: Texas Terror gone kill himself since a SWAC team, a bottom SWAC team in baseball at that beat a so called big school.

As I've said TIME and TIME again, it happens every year. This is baseball where a solid or horrible pitching outing can make the difference in an individual game. That's why the regionals are double-elimination and why we look at the overall body of work...

Yes - the SWAC schools may lose to sub-Div Is, NAIAs and JUCOs (as they have this year and every year), but if given the right ingredients, those same teams can defeat Rice, LSU, Okie State, etc. The baseball guys on this board know this.

Either way, I love how you guys can't even celebrate the occasional out of conference success without bringing me into the equation. Enjoy your victory. Always nice to see the SWAC fans get excited. What is this? The second win of significance this year to whet your appetite?

Oddly enough, the SWAC is 1-18 against top 50 RPI teams (per warrennolan.com). Okie State is actually 184 in RPI, so this was not even a great win in the scheme of things. The lone top 50 win, you ask? Texas Southern over Southeastern La. And before you hate on the SLC - the conference has 16 wins against the top 50 with 34 losses. If the SWAC reached 16 wins, it would have 288 losses before then. Baseball - the body of work.

Exibition games dont count, so you can take that JUCO loss out of the equation. The entire bench played lol. SU played 4 RF's in the first game .

A&M Baseball Beats Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. - A week after its baseball coach resigned, Alabama A&M recorded its biggest win in school history Tuesday by beating Big 12 power Oklahoma State.

Kency Duarte's two-out, RBI-single in the top of the 10th inning scored Norbert Riggins with the game-winning run and Charles McKay got Mark Ginther to line out with the tying run on second base to end the game as the Bulldogs outlasted the Cowboys 6-5 in 10 innings at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

A&M, which snapped its eight-game losing streak, improved to 11-9 with the victory. OSU, which had its eight-game winning streak snapped, fell to 12-3.

We got blewout the other game, but the winning pitcher had the game of his life. :flippy::flippy::flippy::flippy::flippy::flippy::flippy::flippy::flippy::flippy::flippy:

Re: A&M Baseball Beats Oklahoma State

props to the A&M baseball program.

good upset win for the SWAC conf over a Big 12 opponent.

Southern is a No. 4 in the Baton Rouge Regional here...

Funny, projections are much the talk on other boards, particularly during basketball season and to a lesser extent, baseball season. I guess when you are all set for the annual trip to Dayton for the NCAA play-in game or in the case of Southern, know Alex Box is calling, there's not much to project...

C-Leb, it's all about fun and knowing where you stand. Why do you think Bracketology is so popular?
