The **** that Rose does with the basketball is amazing... even whiel he is playing sick.

dumb asses should have fouled.... no way he would have got that shot off if i was coaching....

I agree. Calipari tried to complain about the lack of a foul call but it was obvious he didn't actually tell them to foul before that 3.

I said it long ago but the Memphis faithful would not listen. Freethrows will cost them and they did. No way them mofos would have got that three off. Should have fouled in the backcourt..OH no casual day for the wife tommorrow..

:smh: Yeap...

Kansas...............

As my old coach used to say, "The bigger the game the bigger the bunt." And this applies to basketball when it comes to free throws. I don't care how fast, strong or NBA caliber players you have. If you can do the little things, you can't win.

I feel so good for Bill Self because he is a great coach who help lay the foundation for two different Final Four teams. Illinois 2005 and Kansas 2008. He deserved it.

So Cal took Umass and Memphis and he didn't????????????????

Coach Self was under so much more pressure at Kansas and Illinois to win. No one really expected Umass and Memphis to go to the Final Four...Hey, I was rooting for Memphis even though I had Kansas in my bracket.

That was a good game. The Memphis team was peculiar:

2007-08 Memphis Tigers - Men's Basketball
NO NAME POS HT WT CLASS HOMETOWN
0 Shawn Taggart F 6-10 230 Sophomore Richmond, VA
1 Willie Kemp G 6-2 175 Sophomore Bolivar, TN
2 Robert Dozier F 6-9 215 Junior Lithonia, GA
3 Joey Dorsey F 6-9 265 Senior Baltimore, MD
4 Pierre Niles F 6-8 310 Sophomore Memphis, TN
5 Antonio Anderson G 6-6 210 Junior Lynn, MA
14 Chris Douglas-Roberts G 6-7 200 Junior Detroit, MI
15 Andre Allen G 5-10 205 Senior Memphis, TN
20 Doneal Mack G 6-5 175 Sophomore Charlotte, NC
23 Derrick Rose G 6-3 205 Freshman Chicago, IL
31 Chance McGrady G 6-2 180 Junior Auburndale, FL
32 Jeff Robinson G 6-5 218 Freshman Columbus, NJ
35 Hashim Bailey F-C 6-10 273 Sophomore Paterson, NJ

They only have three players from Memphis. That just got my attention. They played a good game though. When Dorsey fouled out, I knew that was it.

That is interesting. Consider that Boliver is about an hours drive from Memphis. (Yes, I have been to Boliver.) Also consider that Memphis produces a lot of basketball talent. Nolan Richardson got some players when he was at Arkansas.

Calliperi turned Memphis back to a national power. They can recruit all over the country. They dont just have to have the Memphis area on lock like they use to. Name one national power that only recruits in its city.

Calipari......

Yeah, that is what caught my attention too. Especially after that article of the '85 Memphis State came out.
