Nobody started kneeling THIS late. Don't let your personal beliefs cause naivete.

Why did the players not do this at Homecoming when he first mentioned it?

Why wait until after the alumni, local media and PLAYERS start asking questions about him benching his starting QB 2 weeks for allegedly oversleeping for one practice (that still has yet to be proven)?

It's fishing for sympathy. It's the same tactic that got Jim McElwain crossed up at UF for lying about death threats. "I need people to rally around me because I'm losing support."

Spady mentioned that the team isn't normally on the field during the anthem. Were they on HC? If not, that would explain why the players knelt Saturday if that was the first time they had been on the field when the anthem was played.

Look, I don't harbor disdain for Spady like you obviously do. Nobody really knows the motivations behind why the players decided to kneel. Haven't saw them being interviewed or Spady comment on it. Until then, we don't know.

Not safe to assume that....
 
I have grown tired of the kneeling. Kneeling is a protest ploy to bring attention. Now that the kneeling has done its job, what is next? It bothers me when I ask people what are we going to do with the attention that we have garnered and they either admit that they have not thought about that or are waiting for the majority to change their collective ways just because we knelt. I can assure you collective change is not coming without a fight and some thought process adjustments.
