MEAC vs. SWAC

A lot of those team do lose to the MEAC yearly.

Patriot, Colonial. Atlantic 10 and American Conference team seem to enjoy losing to them.
A few teams have losing records or recently even up records versus MEAC schools (Wagner)
And a few have no issue going to play at a MEAC school (Eastern Kentucky, Townson, Navy & William & Mary)
 
The MEAC is so far above the SWAC in basketball men and women. If you deny this, then you are putting your head in the sand.

3 of 6 upsets of a 2 seed was been done by the MEAC

MEAC women are better, look at their top teams and their OOC wins.

SWAC cant win a game in the NCAA tourney. Our team consistently choke in big games - look at OOC games.

You've posted no evidence to show that the MEAC is overall better than the SWAC in basketball.
Now their best team may be better than the SWAC's best team, but for you to claim that their entire conference is better than the SWAC's is totally unfounded.

The same could be said in football as well.
Until our best teams play their best teams, we'll never know. All you're doing right now is theorizing.

Still more theorizing. Where are the records pitting the MEAC's best teams versus the SWAC's best teams? One good team doesn't mean the entire conference is better than the other. You're just going by the record of that one team and lumping the rest of the schools with that one team.

You have no evidence to show that from top to bottom, the MEAC is better than the SWAC in either football or basketball. You can throw baseball into the mix as well.

There is no way of knowing without head-to-head matchups.

If the Big 10/ACC and the Big 12/SEC can have challenges, there is NO reason why the SWAC and MEAC can't have a yearly challenge.

We gotta start thinking outside the box instead of the same ol 1-11 2-10 going into January records.
 
How would one know if there isn't head to head match ups? You never know how teams match up. All of these ASSUMPTIONS.
 
Here we go again... In my humble opinion... The MEAC is better because they do a few things better. They schedule better than the SWAC does. They recruit better if you can believe that. They maintain better year in and year out. Not as much roster turnover. MEAC fans know how to treat a coach. The SWAC and its fans have turned a lot of people off with this snooty' we are the greatest attitude. Sometimes you are gonna be down. Swac fans are the best armchair and monday morning quaterbacks in the world. This whole we need home and home to play you attitude has got to stop. If the money is right, play them at a church parking lot for all I care.. Play some top tier d2 schools at they place and I know some that will run some swac teams ragged.. The MEAC takes it how they can get it and let the chips fall where they may.

Meac schools don't play AT D2 schools either. Most of them don't play other FCS teams unless it is a home and home or classics.. except Delaware State who is just happy to play Delaware.

Go look at all the Meac schedules and then look at all the swac schedules and tell me who has the better ooc slate. Hell u can go back the last 5 years and the meac has been better. Also, unlike tge swac the meac schools dont have trouble filling the schedule. take SC STATE for instance. They have played Clemson South Carolina Ga Tech amongst others in money games. Thats one less headache. That means its getting done years ahead

Their Own fans don't like all the money games because they do not help with playoff seeding.

And thats my problem with black folks. Dont send a dime to the school but got a problem with how the school raises money... Black folks fry sum fish and sale a few chop beef sandwiches to raise a couple of hundred dollars and have the audacity to call themselves a big time donor. Then wanna call shotd and have say so in university business.
 
We as SWAC Fans will have a right to talk when we will stop having to play play-in-games. It is embarrassing when we loose to a team with a losing record to get in. How many years in a row that we have lost the play-in-game to a bum team?

When you stop dissing your own school while swallowing the cool water that comes from Wytey's fountain (where's Duke at? At home with Valley), get at me...

Almost everyone one is being critical of the SWAC while offering solutions which is a good thing. As OTHERS besides me have pointed out in this thread and the other, some of yall are just straight downing your own. Call them some haters too.

And before you get to going about "how I ain't going to do a damn thing for PVU for"" this reason or that reason and "I gave/give money to them but no more because" of this reason or that reason, no one wants to hear that. You are one of those people that I would say that you would rather not get ANY help from at all rather get it and then get 1000 reasons why you so are so bad for needing it. If you feel PV is so bad, do something to change it because you love your school or shut up, don't do anything and keep on sipping that cool water from the non-black fountain.
 
Don't fear, Southern U basketball will soon save the SWAC and help with your self esteems. I saw the class of the MEAC SC St. play Grambling in football and believe me that 3 point win was a fortunate one. I would put the SWAC football champ up against the MEAC football champ any day of the week.

The SWAC does some things better too, so why shouldn't that theory make the SWAC better?
As far as better recruitment in sports is concerned, where's your evidence to show this? You've only given an opinion based on nothing.

As far as turning people off, where did you get that from? The MEAC schools try and get home and home scheduling as well.
Look at FAMU and Bethune Cookman not wanting to play SWAC schools in Orlando for purely selfish reasons. What does that make them? Isn't that snooty?

As far as scheduling is concerned, that has nothing to do with coaching and athletes. That has to do with poor AD scheduling of that particular school. That's not indicative of the entire SWAC.

Speaking of scheduling, it's interesting that you failed to mention the fact that over the last decade or so, the SWAC has managed to get more butts in the seats than the MEAC could ever dream of.

Look at the MEAC's attendance and then look at SWAC attendance from week to week. The SWAC kills the MEAC in attendance.
Evidently the SWAC is doing something right in order to lead not only HBCU conferences in total attendance, but the entire nation in FCS football.

Just a few PWC who had better home attendance than MEAC-North Texas (600 more than Hampton), Western Kentucky (only had 100 less than UMES), Houston only had 500 more than Hampton & SMU had 44 less than Morgan State.

Lehigh, who beat Duke, 1,050 last year and that was when they were winning.

Uhhh sir, if you'd read my last sentence, I was referring to football.

Those embarassing attendance numbers you posted for basketball aren't much to write home about, that's why I didn't mention basketball for either conference. Neither conference has good attendance in basketball.

Thanks for the Duke ref and the fact that they too are @ home w/ Valley, although they didn't get reamed in front of Potus by a team w/ a losing record IN a playin game for entering a nat'l tourney. :retard: And, btw, my daughter grads Duke (biology) in May, thx. :emlaugh: :bowdown: :clap: Now. who here works for a respective SWAC university?
