Because like most republicans, you don't have the courage to admit you're wrong.

Now as for your question;

I think his wife is cooking him dinner as we speak and reminding him that he's just a man and a democrat, he's not expected to be perfect like the republicans and to remember that it could have been worst, he could have sent the entire country to war while running up our debt and dependence of oil from other countries while sending millions of jobs away.
