MCC Legion Field

The MCC is just a big family reunion. Is it not?

Fab5, I bet you can replace either of those schools with Miles or Tuskegee and you wouldn't see too much of a drop-off.

Just another clueless mucking idiot:retard::retard::retard: from jsue..........y'all remind me of the little kid who always wanted to have his way and always be the center of attention even though no none could give a snit about him or his ill conceived thoughts and antics.

Yall get so sensitive about this game :shame:… Dahill, you tell us, why won’t these same fans who come to Birmingham go to a homecoming 90 miles away?

How many MCC's have you been to?

now Miles and Tuskegee attendance was better than JSU/SU but it aint nowhere on the level of MCC.

Does it matter? If you look at the home attendance numbers for Bama State and AAMU it speaks for itself. This game is just an event that transcends both schools. That can be said about any classic, but the MCC is the epitome of that statement.

Just look at the numbers: Yall got 70K+ in attendance in Birmingham but yall doing < 5K at home for most games. Don't those figures seem a little skewed to you? Yall don't travel well to other schools. And what were the numbers like when yall went to B'ham for the SCG in 2006? Yall barely did 30K. When Bama State went in 2004 they did less than 25 K. The MCC is the ticket seller. Yall just happen to be the two teams involved in it.

This isn't smack. And it's nothing to be offended by. It just is what it is.

thats not my concern.... I go to every game... not my business or concern what somebody else does on their weekend.

How did you feel playing in empty stadiums your 3 years under Bell having cokes thrown at you?

the game is just an excuse to do the other stuff they're really interested in.

They are really interested in
having reunions, parties, putting meat on a grill etc etc
they just do it when this game is played.

that the question of the day; those bamas aint got nothing football related to hang there hat on so they wanna hype a classic that no one outside of bama cares or heard about; aamu had 2k people at their homecoming; thats rediculous

ask phillharmonic how many people were at homecoming....now we were under a flash flood warning just an hour before the game but if you believe 2k, I guess it is true the dumbest *****s in school were in the band.

1.5 years of an empty stadium to be correct:lecture:. We still had support up till the midpoint of the 2004 season. Having said that, when the fans stop coming to the home games, the administration began to take notice.

These people will never listen when we tell them that all students (grad and undergrad), faculty, and staff don't count in the attendance.... they can believe the numbers if they want to. Anyway, I go to all the games due to having to work I didn't go to the away games thus far this year though...

Okay......so let's throw in student, faculty, staff and the ticket-takers' grandkids who slid in for the free. Put them in the attendance numbers and you got maybe 8000. And that's being generous. That's still skewed from the 70K yall see in B'ham.

But that's neither here or there. Yall shouldn't be so defensive about this. Just be happy to be a part of the MCC experience.

The point is without A&M and ASU put another two HBCUs from Alabama in Birmingham and call it the MCC and you still wouldn't get the same following. That game is deeper than just the name. Do we have a lot of alumni that will not come back for a game against Stillman but will hop on a plane/train/or anything smoking to get back for THE Classic, yes. That's just the way it is. AAMU is in Huntsville and JSU is in Jackson, compare demographics and you will see why JSU has a higher home attendance

No that's not why. It's because, simply put, your school doesn't generate much interest in the local area and you don't have the fanbase. It just is what it is. H'ville's population is in the 180K range and so is Jackson's and Huntsville has a higher median income.

Ole Miss and MSU isn't as big as Auburn and Bama St fanbase. I think that plays a part in fan base as well when it comes to AAMU and JSU...

It ain't like jsu has done "THIS" much more than AAMU in football over the past 12 years...

Look at the demographics bruh. The black population of Jackson greatly outnumbers the number of blacks in Huntsville, if you don't believe that then you are in denial

these dumazzes dont understand that dynamic..its like talkin to a brick wall:lol:

thats why i laugh when they try to compare home game attendance:lol:

like what does that have to do with us beatin yall azz makin yall use running clocks and shat:lol:

Man

Its some hate going on up in this thread.

You MCC folks are really too sensitive about that game. Hell the BC folks aint this damn sensitive and they know the BC is over rated and irrelevant.

GR agrees with LS....if you were to replace Skegee/Miles to the MCC and gave the Labor Day Classic to AAMU/ASU, you would get the same crowd at the MCC. The event is irrelevant to the schools. Its an event, not a game.

Good luck this weekend

no it really just boils down to yall hating that we have the #1 Classic in BCF and A&M has been apart of that success for 68 years and counting!:)

u dont know shat about the MCC anyway.. you have never been so what makes you an expert???

just worry about sorry azz jsue and what yall doin lol:lol:

I would but YOUR guy put it on the smack board for comments.
GR really dont care. He likes the way yall over react when someone says something bad about YOUR one game a year.

Go do your thing

its a Classic just like the Soul Glo lol

just figure out what yall doing wrong and why yall cant be #1 or at least in the top 3 every year!:)

AAMU and JSU has done more than SUcks in recent years. Now gone back over to the band board, hater.

Prior to you birthdate, and a few years after your Birthday we had a Alabama Championship.

AAMU
Alabama State
Miles
Tuskegee

The SWAC was no where around. Even JSU was a church school trying to make it.

Agreed. But the point is yall draw an avg. of less than 5K to your home games. 5K is weak by high school standards in Alabama. And yet yall somehow think that on just one random Saturday out of the year, that 70,000 fans show up to see yall play?

I don't think I'm the one in denial here.
