Southern Athletic Director Roman Banks squashed the "Connell Maynor Interviewing with Southern" rumors on Saturday morning on radio. He spoke with Jamarcus Fitzpatrick of KALB-TV in Alexandria, Louisiana on Sunday evening and confirmed that Coach Maynor isn't apart of the process.

Someone seem to find that money. I remember Odums use to do the same thing with SU (interview with other teams) until he got tired of begging for his money and just jetted to NSU for about a 10k-20k raise.

I think it was more about the security and longevity than about the sum, which is negligable
 
I have no facts, from Odum's interview, it seem as the issue was about being appreciated.
