Maybe Diana Taurasi was right about Caitlin Clark getting a "reality check"


Like it or not, these new rookies have increased the interest of the WNBA which will benefit the predominantly black players. If a great white hope is the catalyst, then so be it. The big picture to me is the league is trending in the right direction. I’ll let that league figure out how to retain and increase the upward trend/interest. In the interim I’ll watch and enjoy until feeling otherwise…..

Well the issue is those old heads are the ones that made it possible for there to be a league.

They were the ones that had to put up with all levels of toxic and so on to get to this point.

Their point is "don't act like this did not exist before her."

You know the black ones are REALLY going to have issues with her and the press she gets.

But what they need to understand is at the end of the day-it benefits them. Asia does not get a shoe deal if Clark didn't get hers.

She is bringing more attention and it's up to them to take full advantage of it.

A’ja already had a shoe deal in the works before the Caitlin Clark.

A'Ja's shoe deal was already in the works. The Clark one forced Nike to basically make it public

And as we are still finding out right now, many of the new "fans" are not actual "fans" but supporting their white savior

This has gone on for years. Freeze out of MJ at the All-Star Game a constant beating he took from the Celtics and Pistons. Kareem took a beating, Dr.J took one, Kobe, LeBron was ruffed up. Rookies have to go through the process and pay their dues. Glad to see someone point this out other than so-called innocent Caitlin who is a good player.
