Since I know you are an expert with numbers. Take the record of 93-81 and see if you can come up with the same results which led to our first SWAC Championship.

Mike, we just signed a 6-3 guard from IL. That NCAA Appreance is still working. Recruiting is not bad when you make the NCAA Tournament.

The problem here is quality trumps quantity. As I said in another post, "slow learners" have championships too (no pun intended). While I commend you all for your accolades in D-II, you are no more of a basketball school than any school in the SWAC. And I can tell you that y'all are not going to "take over" nothing in this league other than possibly soccer. :lol:

By the start of football season you and others will understand that we are good people who see SU like a ant trying to uninate up an elephant's leg when trying to match the accomplishment of North Bama. Just be thankful that MD voted not to join the SWAC years ago. As you can see the only thing left for us to do is win the SCG.

A Profound Statement is that AAMU will be the second HBCU to go D1A in football.

Lewis what happened to our team has already been pointed out in Part 1.

Lewis Soccer is a World Sport played by all civilized nations. Education is defined as a life long process and this thread is about sharing AAMU Sports information with all those who read the Maroon and White Papers. This Maroon and White issue is not about SU vs AAMU, but to inform MW readers about some of the significant events that occurred in athletics at AAMU.

In order for education to work one must read with an opened mind. Sometimes readers must read information up to three time before they get true understanding.

As Editor-In-Chief, I have noticed some great comments about the information that the MW is sharing. But all comments are welcomed. Don't forget tomorrow football will sum up all the past championships.

Well there you have it. MD is trying to convince the board that AAMU has had success in the past. Oh my how smalltime. When your overall athletic program is truly successful, you will not need a Maroon and WHite paper. It will be known by the masses. Trying to convince TSPN that you are the future of the SWAC is otherwise futile at this point.

Just remember the other Bama has been in the SWAC since the early 80s and do not have many titles to show for their trouble either. You should take heed . JR has spoken. Carry on.

You should not scare the Jags (and the rest of the SWAC) by letting the cat out of the bag. JRock and his fellow Jags thought they had closed the gap on us by hijacking a coach from a Bama school. But this signing is just further evidence of the futility inherent in their effort to become relevant in the New Order of basketball that was created when AAMU became a full member of the SWAC. It's the Bama A&M name and history as a top basketball school that continues to allow us to collect players that mid-major and major D1 are trying to sign. Our history and recent appearances on national tv cemented in these kids' minds that AAMU is where they should be.

Maybe we should begin to recognize that there is a Big 2 in basketball, and that some well-known names are not included in the club.

That same statement applies to your analysis of Division 1 tournament appearances. We don't have many because we have just become eligible for the tournament. We were eligible for the D2 tournament for many years and, as it has been demonstrated, we went to quite a few, including Final Eights.

I noticed that none of your tournament appearances came after we were eligible to represent the SWAC. By my own reasonable calculation, it maybe in the far distant future before someone besides the new Basketball Big 2 represents the SWAC.
