SOG, I thought I was the only closet UCLA Fan. LOL. Lavin needs to win the Pac 10 tourney probably to save his job. Maybe even a game in NCAA tourney if they get there. I am not so sure of your prediction though. Kentucky and Tubby will win it all this year. And the UK folks still will not be happy.

Now if I can just get my other school Ohio State into the big dance by winning the Big Ten.:nod2:

Vitalis man is gone. UCLA can win the whole thang and his azz still would get ghost!

I'm pulling for the SWAC and Kentucky!

Winning the whole thing may be the only way he can save his job. After listening to his post game comments I think he has been told that he wont be back no matter what. This guy has his azz in the coffin every year but somehow manages to come back to life before the last nail is driven in. If he manages to keep his job this year they sould just let him stay there until he retires. If I were his boss I would let him go unless he makes it to the sweet 16.

Not hardly, JR. I've always been a Bruins fan (was nearly a Bruins ALUM!) I gotta admit that defeat over Arizona was a shock to even me, but hey the Bruins somehow always manage to reach deep within themselves and pull out some "Wooden" magic at tournament time.

I think they could make some noise, but I don't know about winning it all. Kentucky (even though I'm not a fan) looks like the team to bet on. They have now for the last month and a half!

Come on dude....Inglewood is a looooong way from Westwood. Give it up.

JR,

Bruh, I grew up on UCLA Basketball...Hell, I grew up on UCLA period. Westwood Village use to be the dayum hangout spot on the weekends when I was in high school. And I just knew I was going to UCLA after high school, but I realized during my senior year that I had to get the hell away.

Besides, I didn;t have the grades to get into UCLA. I was a terrible student. :shame:

GR,

Westwood is a straight shot down the 405 freeway from Inglewood (about 25 - 30 mins). It aint that long!!!. :p

That's true. Take the Wilshire exit through Beverly Hills to Gayley Ave.....and you're there!

30 minutes is a world apart in LA.
Guess what, my summer house was right down the street from Beverly Hills, but me and Elizabeth Taylor damn sure werent neighbors.

It is closer than that when there is not one of those dreaded 405 traffic jams (which is all the time). Try staying in Huntington Beach after going to an HBCU and living in Houston. That 45 minute drive to "blackdom" was nothing.

I tried my d@mndest to stay away from Huntington Beach during my time in L.A. Playa Del Rey and sometimes Venice (when I felt I couldn't get sick from looking at all the filth) were my beach hangouts. Marina Del Rey was my spot. It was just up the road from my crib in Culver City.

Awwwwww Culver City!!! The home of the Fox Hills Malls (no longer called the Fox Hills Mall). Maaann, to this very day that place keeps nothing but honies in there. That was another one of my hangouts!

Yeah, that's it! On any given day you could walk through there and run into one of the Lakers....the old school Lakers, that is! Michael Cooper and A.C. Green were regulars. Hell, I even saw Kurt Rambis in there a couple of times! What is the name of that mall these days? I was in Sou. California this past summer, but we spent the majority of our time in the Norwalk area where my siblings now live and breathe.

That 605 freeway......I HATE IT!

"U...C...LLLLLLLLLLLL ..A U-C-L-A fight, fight, fight!"

I learned that when I went to my first Bruins football game about 18 years ago. :nod2:

Small world

Yeah, I know where that is. Kaiser Hospital is over there. For some reason, they had a lot of fine ass babes working there too! - LOL :lmao:

Exactly.....I almost went to Hamilton High, but decided I better stay my ass in Mississippi. I used to work at that Thrifty right down the street on LaCienega.

They still call if Fox Hills Mall, but the official name is Westfield Shoppingtown Fox Hills

Westfield is the name of the groups that owns the mall.

Good Lord...it doesn't have quite the same ring to it! Well, as long as Century City Mall (on Ave. of the Stars across from the ABC Entertainment Center) my FAVORITE mall in all of L.A. never changes, I'll be alright!
