I was at Grambling during that time. He suuuucccked big time. Didn’t know he was harassed.

He was. I worked for an engineering firm in Ruston at the time while taking a few grad classes at Louisiana Tech. He caught pure hell at Grambling and he had a Black girlfriend.

He got the majority of the flack because he sucked. His car got it probably because... Well.

I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a late night at the Red River Classic in Shreveport against UAPB. This was when that Classic was lit. The bands were rocking. There was like 30k+ in the house. This was before they expanded the stadium so it was almost full. He had been his awful self the whole game, yet we were still in it. We are driving the field and everyone is getttinf excited because we had been losing the whole game. It’s very little time on the clock and we drive on purely effort plays all the way to the goal line. Coaches call a QB sneak because he was tall and long. He fumbles and the rest is history. No one forgave him after that.

I don’t know if his car got it then or at the end of the season. I know he left it on campus and when they got back. Smdh It’s a shame what they did to that car. lol

He had nice size, but that was about it, because he definitely wasn't an athlete. He had to have been at least 6'5".

I remember Kornblau vividly. My uncle and dad, both former Grambling players, said back then Coach Rob was playing politics by starting him. If I remember correctly Kornblau got hurt in a Bayou Classic and the backup, a brother, was clearly a better QB.
