Legion Field holds 86,000

That being said folks. With the pictures we have seen, I think I would be safe to say that the total attendance "City-Wide" touched 100K.

If I am not in it next year, I died. :angel2:

I certainly agree with the 100k city wide. Even when the MCC drew 70,200 fans in 1991, the tailgating was nowhere near the tailgating this year. The attendance for this years game was 65,312 fans. And anybody from anywhere that attended this years game will tell you that by halftime the entire bottom section was filled to capacity. With another 5k-7k people walking around inside the stadium that should have given you atleast the
70,000-73,000 inside the stadium. The tailgating that I witnessed outside had to have been the largest tailgate party in the nation among HBCU's. The Bayou Classic doesn't have the area or space outside the stadium like the MCC. The Superdome is in downtown New Orleans therefore, it has limited parking for real tailgating. It is surrounded by buildings just like the Atlanta Classic against FAMU/TnSU. Outside tailgating at Legion Field had to have atleast 10k-20k plus the freaknic like crowd should have brought the overall attendance between 90k-100k. This is no disrespect to other classics, but this years MCC had a Mardi Gras like atmosphere French Quarters style. The State Fair Classic between GSU/PV is exactly what it says. A state fair is going on outside the stadium. That's not what you would call tailgating.
