Lupe Fiasco calls President Obama a baby killer

I asked what HIS beliefs were. I understand all that you're saying with wars and killing innocent people, blah, blah, blah (not that agree/disagree...but I understand). But Anonymous said, "he's sticking to his beliefs" and I asked what "his" beliefs were.

Just b/c someone says, "Wars are bad" doesn't mean a whole bunch for me to be like, "he's sticking to his beliefs". What if all of his other "beliefs" suck...but good thing he's sticking to his beliefs on wars huh?! :emlaugh:

But back to what you're saying...
President Obama didn't start any of these wars and yes, in a make-believe world, it would be nice if he just came right in office and said, "we're ending the war. Pull everyone out RIGHT NOW". But you, me, and Lupe all know it doesn't work like that nor is it that easy. Even if he said to pull everyone out right now...it still wouldnt' happen.

I dont' have an issue with criticizing President Obama but most times folks criticism isn't even realistic.

I know it doesnt work like that. But I know because of the reason we are over there. There are tens of billions tied to those poppy fields. Hundreds to the pipeline and and minerals in the country.

WASHINGTON — The United States has discovered nearly $1 trillion in untapped mineral deposits in Afghanistan, far beyond any previously known reserves and enough to fundamentally alter the Afghan economy and perhaps the Afghan war itself, according to senior American government officials.

Afghanistan hopes to strike a deal later this month to build a $2bn pipeline through the country to take gas from energy-rich Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India.

Afghan interim ruler Hamid Karzai is to hold talks with his Pakistani and Turkmenistan counterparts later this month on Afghanistan's biggest foreign investment project, said Mohammad Alim Razim, minister for Mines and Industries told Reuters.

INSPECTOR GENERAL: Money Spent In Afghanistan Is Actually Making Things Worse

Hundreds of millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars being spent on construction projects in Afghanistan may be counterproductive in addition to being wasteful, according to the special inspector general for Afghanistan reconstruction and reported by Rajiv Chandrasekaran of the Washington Post.

From the Washington Post:

“Implementing projects that the Afghan government is unable to sustain may be counter*productive” to the U.S. counterinsurgency mission, the inspector general wrote. “If goals are set and not achieved, both the U.S. and Afghan governments can lose the populace’s support.”

The report specifically examined the Afghan Infrastructure Fund – a massive fund authorized by Congress in 2010 that allows the Defense and State departments to pool money for bankrolling large infrastructure improvements aimed at supporting the counter*insurgency campaign.

If he truly believes, which I think he does by listening to more than one of his interviews, that Pres. Obama is a terrorist by continuing with mass killings of innocent people, then I applaud him for sticking to his beliefs in that regard... Doesn't make it right or wrong, I just think he deserves the credit for not bowing to the "general" consensus that the President is an angel, so to speak. I may or may not agree with him, but his view is not the first time I have heard this stance, and probably wont be that last. I know that Min. Farrakhan has also said some of the same things about the President and things happening on his watch...

Come on now bruh, who doesn't know all politicians are scandalous? All politicians have done dirt or get paid by rich folks. The "Obama is an Angel" talk needs to be stopped. That is southern code for calling him the "N" word or telling him boy to stay in his place. Ain't nothing cute about that messiah or angel stuff yall keep hollering. I truly believe Obama was a pimp myself. Yet I also have enough sense to realize he is a politician and all of them are paid!!

You are a good brother and all, but since you pretty much called me a liar and I got links for my stuff and told the truth about Bush, either point out my lies with support or retract that statement. People assume when you call out one massa you love the other. I dont love ANY of them. See they are both managers of the same system. It is the system that matters, not the manager.

Bruh it the system. We have to honest here, the only way you ever become President is you are chosen by the folks with the most money to put you there. Everyone knows there is a political agenda and that no matter how or what we want as the regular citizens of this country, the rich and powerful wants different. The truth of the matter is we, as in our race want the president to give us 40 acres and a mule. We as a people thought "Oh boy, now we gonna come up and get reparations". We thought "oh boy, we are going to be on top of the world". He is the president of the USA, not the "Hood".

I have much respect for Farrakhan, and agree with some thing he says, but if Farrakhan wants to criticize Obama, he must first tell why did he have Malcom X killed!!! Yes, he never told the truth about having that man gunned down in front of his wife and kids. Blood is on his hands!!!

That is all I am saying. Any mainline R or D serves at the behest of their masters. And all of em are liars and dogs. This one included. I said it about Clinton when I grew up some, I said it about Bush while he was in office and I said it about Obama before he got in office. I foolishly hoped he would not be as bad, but it is the same old mess. Banking/military industrial/oil do boy.

I understand what you are saying, but we live in a capitalistic society. It is the American way.

There is a difference between capitalism and crony capitalism. Adam Smith even warned about what happens when the game is rigged. Capitalism is not devoid of rules or rife with payoffs. We live in an age of greed and corruption.

Bruh lets be honest, you and I know both know that these folks would off who ever challenges the rich. Money talks and bullshyt walks. The USA will never be about common working class folks. The only difference between a street thug and a wall street thug is the color of the mans skin.

By the way for all you genius people, more black males did in the streets of Chicago, New York, Detroit, LA, Memphis, St. Louis, Bham than in the war in Afghanistan and Iraq over the last 10 years. Why doesn't this weed head and yall get out and fight against that? Oh, I forgot you live in the suburbs and don' take your kids or yourself around those people.

Exactly....but uh I don't know about the suburb comparison.

But Lupe Fiasco is probably listening to Minister Farakhan.. Farakhan lost a lot of respect of Black folx when he called Obama a murderer when Osama Bin Laden was taken out.

Not to mention this fool lives and make a living from a lifestyle that promote and breeds murder.

Min. Farrakhan can be wrong as two left shoes sometimes. One of his issues with President Obama is his leadership in taking down Moammar Kadafi. Kadafi turned weapons on innocent citizens and he does not get a pass on murder for giving money to the Nation of Islam. The president like any other human is not perfect and I genuinely believe he does the best that he can. Please keep in my that the President isn't Moses with divine intervention from The Almighty. He cannot and will not be able to solve all of the world problems and stamp out injustices everywhere. Also, we have to be realistic and prudent about playing the hand we're dealt with while considering the alternative. Lastly, trying to keep it brief, Pres. Obama have access to intelligence that most do not have and has to make decisions based on data that Monday Morning Quarterbacks know nothing of. While I respect Minister Farrakhan and believe he is an asset to our community, outside of our community he is a polarizing figure and his judgment and decision making would without a doubt have this country in total chaos (assuming this is a fairy tale and somehow he would be residing on Pennsylvania Ave in the White House). :emlaugh:
