maybe that's why they look uninspired out there today...

if someone is willing to pay, why not be greedy...A&M's defense is light years behind LSU's in terms of being physical
He got to take care of his and that bump in pay will help him do that so much better.

Yeah that is a big move!! Heard the speculation from some Aggie folks I know. Sumlin knew the honeymoon is over in college station if he didn't make a move to improve that horrid defense.
How does your son feel about that move?
Need to call my line brother. I know Chavis was a big part of his son playing DB instead of WR.

I guess he thinks he got to get as much as he can as an assistant if he can't get a head coaching job. Got to maximize all you can when you can. Plus he is coming to Texas with no state income tax. His money will be a little bigger in Texas.

That makes him a great recruiter. Texas A&M's offense is light years ahead of LSU's as well. LSU's QB is terrible.
Yet Sumlin has never beaten LSU with that offense.... if you can't beat em, hire the guy you can't beat. LOL

Lsu has great recruiters at every coaching position, and if it wasn't for the NFL drafting them all every year, you would know that.

He got his start at A&M. To think of the quality coaches who have graced A&M on the sideline or on the field and now coaching in the college ranks, John Chavis, Sal Sunseri, Brick Haley, Ron Cooper, and Grady Brown.
