No boo the shame is on you black parents not teaching your kids to value life and how to act in public, how to go out and enjoy a party/concert...The Shame is black people not looking out for each other...The Shame is that, that kid died because he was kicking that cowards ass, another pussy ass $$$$$$ probably with an unlicensed weapon...maybe next year have your concerts in the afternoon since the underivable like to show up cause problems NEAR your campus...Rolling My DAMN EYES!

I agree with you. Years ago when I went to Morehouse's homecoming I told my friend their homecoming is so much more family friendly than SU's. And, that's partly because they have daytime events including the game but I think more than that Morehouse doesn't act like they are down with the surrounding community. I think SU needs some of that attitude because the riff raff element from Scotlandville and Baton Rouge feel too welcome on SU's campus and they typically act an ass during SU's homecoming week. Hell, they had a shootout today after SU's homecoming parade.

This happened at the 2016 homecoming. Such a family friendly homecoming and do I see men hugging men and women hugging women???

What gets me, this was a LSU kid fighting local kids that had nothing to do with Southern, but it's the atmosphere at Southern's homecoming that made them act a fool. Doesn't that sound just like White folks???

I understand SU is your school but it's common for brawls and shootings to occur around SU's homecoming. And, most of it isn't SU's fault. Yet in still SU's home game experience is hella ghetto. And, I'm not taking that back.

And shooting and killing doesn't happen around South Baton Rouge??? I know it is not LSU fault for that either. It seems like you are saying the same thing I said earlier. East Baton Rouge Parish/City of Baton Rouge have failed both universities when it comes to the safety and security of the students.

Sure LSU has its on-campus issues too but security and lighting are much better on LSU's campus. The common factor in much of the crime on LSU and SU campuses does seem to be uneducated, young Black people who commit the bulk of that crime.

It seems like you are not that familiar with Baton Rouge. I said South Baton Rouge and not directly on LSU's campus. Next time you are Baton Rouge, take a nice little stroll through South Baton Rouge where all the highly educated youth live. If a drastic change has accorded since I have been gone, it looks like walking through the roughest part of Scotlandville.

Here's a picture of what South Baton Rouge looks like.

Crimes are committed against students, often times by students too, in, but not only, urban areas. The Atlanta schools are no exception, but Georgia Tech's reputation or image does not take a hit for the crimes committed around its campus.

I cannot say for Georgia State. I do know that more Black students attend the school than White students.

The Atlanta University Center has not always been as fortunate.

So is it LSU fault that it is like that since it is less than a mile from LSU???

If you read my comments I said it's not solely SU's fault for the crime on their campus. SU needs more campus cops and better lighting. You're really insecure.

You don't have to, no one gives a care about what you think about our home game experience. Just don't come on our campus, no one will miss you.

You are wishy washy. You go from surrounding neighborhood to on-campus security. Is that what they taught you at LSU???

First of all, I'm from Scotlandville so I have ownership there. Second of all, you sound damn silly, immature, short-sighted and ignorant by taking my critique of the SU home game fan experience personally and not acknowledging that SU needs to step up the fan experience in and around SU. Segregation is over. HBCUs must compete like everyone else for fans. Give fans an enjoyable and SAFE home game experience because that's a revenue stream.

Now we are talking about revenue stream. Straight bat crap crazy and completely not focus. We might as well talk about Newton's three laws of motion or Newton-Raphson Method for curve fitting the way you jump around in your thought process.

Situations like this do have financial implications. Just a few weeks ago it looked like there might be traction for a SU v LSU game. And, that would've been a good thing for both programs and BR. But, now I doubt if we will ever see that game in the foreseeable future. I'm focused. I need you to catch up.

Beefed up lighting and more security on SU's campus would have stop the fatal tragedy of a LSU student-athlete that recently occurred, even though it wasn't on SU's campus. Now see how dumb that sounds.

The Subway on Harding is less than 100 yards from SU's campus. Technically it wasn't on SU's campus but it's only yards away.

I can care less about a damn game with LSU. You are the only one in here making a big deal about it just because a LSU student-athlete decided to get in a fight near SU's campus that resulted in his death.
