LSU, Alabama, USC 1-2-3 in Coaches poll

This is an excellent point. As it has been said, look at the players they have this year.

It would be funny if Steve Spurrier of all people and South Carolina beats them.

South Carolina is the toughest team on their schedule and would have the best chance of beating them before the SEC Championship game.

I knowed it

Thats the thing.

Georgia should be dangerous every year. Every year they come out and fall flat on their face against a team they should beat. I'm picking Vanderbult to be that team this year in their 4th game. Georgia escaped 33-28 last year. They will not beat FLORIDA this year and I doubt they will beat South Carolina either. Thats 3 losses I'm predicting for Georgia.

Don't sleep on them losing that SEC opener to Missouri. You are right, they always fall short of expectations. Georgia seems to excel when people don't expect much out of them.

Don't worry the baby cub said that he knows how much you hate black college football and will leave you a ticket for every LSU home game as the in the Closet LSU Fan in case you want to come over to BR and catch some real defensive football...he know you never get that with JSU!

Don't overlook that Florida game that Georgia will probably lose. It took John Brantley playing on 1 leg for Georgia to eek out a win against Florida last season, and they will be much more talented this season. I am picking South Carolina to win the SEC East.

The problem with UGA is Richt and Bobo, period. It's never been talent it's just the fact that their coaching sucks. If you were to give Saban, Miles, Meier..hell even Spurrier that job with the same talent they have right now they could probably win the SEC this year.

Not gonna happen. Florida might lose to A&M.

In the last 10 years, GA has won 4 SEC East Championships and 2 outright conference titles and a .74 winning percentage under Mark Richt. I really don't have any idea of what you some of you all are talking about. :emlaugh: That would be 2 more division championships than Alabama and the same amount as LSU in the last 10 years. It is also 1 more outright conference titles than Alabama and 1 short of LSU. The biggest difference in the programs is LSU and Alabama both have 2 Nationals titles the last 10 years to Georgia's -0-. The Dawg's are no slouches and they are over due to wreck shop. Realistically there is no one on their schedule that they can't beat. Their regular season record will range anywhere between 12-0 and 10-2.

This is LSU football's opponents worse nightmare this year. A loaded Bayou Bengal team playing with a chip on their shoulders.

Congrats, and Good Luck to #12, Corey Thompson! He looks like a real player. Where did he get all that talent? :emlaugh:

What the hell value is an SEC East Championship? Who do they compete with in the East other than Florida? South Carolina only got good 2 years ago and the rest were who, Vanderbilt? Kentucky? Tennessee? Hell he was SUPPOSED to be winning with the talent they had. 2 sec championships in 10 years isn't great, and during that same time they have only beaten Florida ONCE...and struggled to beat them last year even though they sucked. Richt is garbage... the SEC East has been a cakewalk the last 10 years aside from Florida so that's not saying anything at all. Richt can't win the big game, period. They choked against Boise last year and the year they ended up playing Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl they shouldn't have lost a game. Like I said, put another coach in that position and they would've had a championship trophy by now.

His real and fake dad (panthro/p88) say from them....but we all know it came from me!

Ummmmm... let the tspn record show he got his speed and intelligence from mommy but he got his will to knock a mf'er out on the field from his surrogate daddy, me :). I knew his love for purple/gold was just as strong as mine is lol.

What does Florida and Texas A&M have to do with Georgia and Florida? Just look at the history, Mark Richt is 3-8 against Florida, and all 3 wins came during a down season for Florida(Zook, 2007 with Meyer, and last season with Muschamp). As sorry as Florida was last season, Georgia barely managed to win that game due to Brantley not being to throw worth crap due to injury.

Yes they can beat everyone on their schedule, but those same teams can beat them too.

Florida had minus 19 yards rushing. They scored on a 99 yard kickoff return. Brantley was horrible, but who will be the QB this year? Everyone else was horrible too.

And despite all that, Georgia still had to comeback to win the game. Florida's defense is going to be a beast this year with more experience, the offensive line lost no one of importance and should also be improved. We will actually have 3 power backs that we can use to pound the rock, so no more finesse running. We have 2 capable QBs that are basically even with each other right now, though I prefer Brissett. Losing Brantley was a plus for this team. Florida will beat Georgia.

In the SEC they first say get to Atlanta. Then they say get to the national championship game. I guess one can say that winning the SEC is a very big deal.

Yes, without a doubt. I really don't see much changing this year. You have 5 SEC teams starting the season out in the top 10 that could beat anyone else in the country on any given Saturday.
