Congrats, you and your fellow Alums are giving back. That makes a big difference.WHEW…. Im glad my AD dont think like most of the ADs in the SWAC. They dont care about your home fans or the a$$beatings! We got 10 home games during the out of conference schedule for the men. Ive seen some SWAC schedules with 1 and 2.
I believe every school has alums giving back…Congrats, you and your fellow Alums are giving back. That makes a big difference.
Hey if they sell a ticket for it .. ITS a game… exhibition or not! We have an exhibition against cross town rival UAH. A game I probably wouldn’t have scheduled. They went 32-2 with 2 close losses to the team that won the D2 national championship.5 of our 11 OOC games are at H&PE. Actually 4.....one is an exhibition in my opinion.
College of Biblical Studies? Come on man. It is a yearly stat padding game.Hey if they sell a ticket for it .. ITS a game… exhibition or not! We have an exhibition against cross town rival UAH. A game I probably wouldn’t have scheduled. They went 32-2 with 2 close losses to the team that won the D2 national championship.

DunnoCollege of Biblical Studies,,,, wow -- are they considered an HBCU?

True, I am definitely one that gives back. Just not enough of us, to offset the loss of money we would lose, if we stopped playing money games. Coach Robert Moreland started doing this in the seventies and the rest is history.I believe every school has alums giving back…

We have had Rice play at H&PE but they are not going to play us regularly because we will (and have) beaten them at our place. Those FBS level schools don't want to lose to us especially the local ones. But how many recruits are you losing out on because of those money games. Now yes PWI do the same thing but when you listen to those broadcasts it's never stated this game is for a check.
It would be different if 90% of these games were close or 10 point leads and not 50-70 point ones.
Doing all these road games is actually selling OTHER schools to your players and with so many that transfer at a whim-it's not good.
There has to be a way to get home games and not against Bible schools that are just now adding teams.
Is it that hard to get say Rice to play at Texas Southern? PV?
Can't Grambling and Southern play the teams in their state and get home games and save money on traveling?
But something has to be done. It does not help having a HBCU conference have a ton of winless teams before conference play.
Would doing a pledge drive for the schools work? Silent auctions of HBCU items? Host some comic or anime cons?
