Life Changer.

SONNY

The Future of Omega!!!!
I didnt know how else to title this thread, but some things that you may hear, see or experience Change you life. Things like a book you read, song you hear or in this case a Movie you see......

I know that Im a whole year late, but I bought ANTOINE FISHER last night on DVD.

........Im almost speachless. This was a POWERFUL movie for me to watch. The acting was Billiant. Denzel and Derek were AWSOME.
This young man had a FUKKED up childhood, and he PERSEVERED still through it all. He was STRONG!!!!!

The scene where he went back to his aunt house and saw all his family members there. The kids with the signs is what caught me up. :bawling: Fugg it, I aint skurred to say it. He finally had a FAMILY.

If you havent seen this movie or read this book, You havent lived. Im going to BORDERS today and picking up "Finding Fish" and "Who Will Cry for the Little Boy".

This was so AWSOME, that I had to share it with my SWACPage Family.

GO AWAY!!!!

BF,

That movie was EXCELLENT!!! I saw it twice at the movies and was eagerly awaiting the release date for the DVD. And yessir, I was there that Tuesday to buy it!!!!

That movie didn't work for me. Maybe because I've seen/heard/lived worse.

Glad it connected with you and changed your outlook on life, BF.

"Who will cry for the little boy, lost and all alone?
Who will cry for the little boy, abandoned without his own?
Who will cry for the little boy? He cried himself to sleep.
Who will cry for the little boy? He never had for keeps.
Who will cry for the little boy? He walked the burning sand.
Who will cry for the little boy? The boy inside the man.
Who will cry for the little boy? Who knows well hurt and pain.
Who will cry for the little boy? He died and died again.
Who will cry for the little boy? A good boy he tried to be.
Who will cry for the little boy, who cries inside of me?"

That Antwone Fisher sure was a real potent flick! Got a wee bit teary eyed myself. A great directorial debut for Denzel. It's definitely on my DVD wish list.

Bandfan, I thought it was awesome also. I was still crying walking to the car after the movie was over.
I could have jumped through the screen and hugged him when he said "I'M STILL STANDING". I mumble it to myself often.

Glad it blessed you too.

I got the DVD at Bayou Classic this year.

I bought the dvd but, haven't taken watched it. I think I'll take some time & watch it tonight or tomorrow. I'll just have to make sure I have plenty of kleenex. :(

I thought the scene in the dentist's office was especially good. I didn't know a fish could jump so high... Man!

Then when Nemo was floating to the ocean... More classic info.. I like how he never gave up even though he had a bum fin.

both movies are great examples of PERSEVERENCE.
One was a cartoon and one was based on a real life event.

I finally got to watch Antoine Fisher this weekend! It was an excellent movie & I'm proud to say I didn't have to use any kleenex. :p

What??????

You wuddn't snottin????

:ebrow:

I've seen the movie three times and I still come away from it with a BIG WOW! I think what is so appealing is that it gives everyone a window into a black man emotions, pain and anger. I believe it is unlike anything we have seen on the big screen before. You truly understand where his pain comes from and why. I can't remember any movie that makes that pain so real.

Alright........

Continuing on Bandfan's 'theme'........... Which movie gives the best example or PERSERVERENCE:

Antoine Fisher or Rudy

?????

FISH by far. FISH is still PERESEVERING, Rudy got to play 1 game for Notre Dame.
Antowone went through more pain in his life: Sexual, emotional and physical abuse. Rudy just didnt play untill the last game of his senior year.

I saw it on cable the other night and it was a good movie.

Fisher is a good example of how we can overcome anything if we are willing to face it head on and deal with it...

Mannn, I saw that movie with Docmump, Jr.
The part when Dora told the father he looked a little stressed. She sung him that song. "Keep on swimming, Keep on swimming. Keep on swimming, swimming, swimming." Doc almost broke down...:bawling: :bawling: :bawling:
