Liberty Bowl Stadium Upgrades

Apparently, with the University of Memphis making the move to the Big East, Fedex has ponied up money to make improvements to the Liberty Bowl. I can't wait to see that massive screen at the Southern Heritage Classic. There is also a new sound system. We can now hear the announcers a lot better. Should make for an even better experience on September 8th and the new years to come with the contract extension.
 



The upgrades made to the parking lot/tailgating area two years ago were.

This year the tailgating spots were sold on Ticketmaster, so nice and simple because in the past it was a mess! :clap: :clap:

yep.
It has been like a WWE battle Royal for those tailgating spots. The worst year was when Memphis tried to bite off our crowd and scheduled Miss State the same day as the SHC. People filled the lot for tailgating. Memphis didn't have half the stadium full for their game but when nightfall hit, tha place was packed for JSU/TSU. Even the black Memphis students skipped their game to come to ours.

They never did that again because black people had Memphis covered from Beal Street all the way down Union to the Liberty. :lmao:
 
Man the City loves this game. They love the tailgating, parades and parties for sure. Sponsors are doing a good job promoting it each year..

I hope House of Segrams have their thing again this year. Pay one price and go in and drink anything Segrams make for free. We lost our damm mind in that place a couple years ago when the bartender told us what was going on.

We thought we had to pay for the drinks until he asked us if we wanted to try anything else after he gave us the first two. We asked was these comp drinks and he said tonight, every bottle in the house is a comp drink. :lol:

Even though the music has changed/gone down in recent years, Beale Street is still one of the best. I love Memphis.

That messed our minds up sitting at that bar. After we came out of our buzzing shock, we looked at that bar and the wall behind it, everything Segrams made was in that place. We just started pointing. I have not been THAT DRUNK again since. :lol:

I didn't want to give you no ammo but free seagrams and black folks in Memphis sounds like the beginning to a murder story on the 10 pm news.

You're right. But it is what it is. Memphis is ghetto. But that doesn't bother me at all. I read the Commercial Appeal every day.

Are they going to pull that stadium seat trick they did last year?

They would not let you bring in your stadium seat in if it had arms on it.
