89,83......The other years I watched in the 80's I can't really say SU bust their arse, both made it do what it do....But that's alot of years....:)

I can only vouch for 83.....SU was good, but 89....I was lonnnng gone. Can't answer that one......:)

We bust that arse in 85 in Jackson. We took an L in BR my crab year of 84.....Taylor's first year. 86 was close.....I give us the nod even though Dowell Taylor always tell me it was a tie. LOL. 87 was typical SU doing what we needed to in Jackson. I wouldn't call it a big time waxing. Neither of us really brought it in my opinion.

Unlike the band you marched for.. The band I marched for all marched under the same head or asst. directors.... So when I see a band with the same uniform and same concept and style it's hard NOT to say "WE"... But to be honest with you the same cat laughing probably would have got SMOKED by me when I was a 7th grader.... I done heard trumpet players at segveral HBCU bands that couldn't hold a candle to me when I was in the 7th grade...
