Let's talk about Hugh Freeze/Jim Bo and white male privilege in coaching

Let's be real. Would a black coach ever be forgiven for the things Hugh Freeze did? This dude got fired for NCAA violations and screwing hookers. He went back to the top in a matter of two years. Yet black coaches still can't get a shot at Power 5 schools. Then you boss hog Jim Bo getting blown out game after game and not a peep from the becks in Texas. I mean come man.

but we send our kids over there with outstretched hands like nothing is wrong to play for them as we forgive

now if Prime did that and got another chance? The other side wouldn't even sniff that out of pride
Well, can we blame the clown for acting like a clown? Or should we blame ourselves for going to the circus? Now, yall can take that anyway yall want to. 😆

Cadillac should come to the SWAC or MEAC for a head coaching position. From the interviews he has given he seems to actually care about his players doing well outside of football. Its a slap in the face for Hugh Freeze to be hired over him. Even being one of the best players Auburn has had in its history still wasnt enough to warrant a HC consideration same with Coach Prime and FSU.

I mean, Deion didn't have a degree when he interviewed at FSU (he eventually got one before being hired at JSU) and he didn't have any coaching experience beyond high school. High school coaches aren't going to get P5 HC jobs.

Cadillac loves Auburn and they just gave him a huge raise to stay

HBCUs do the same thing with black folks. HBCUs regularly pass over qualified non-black coaches to hire retread, failed numerous times black coaches. Please get off your moral high horse because you are no better. Lastly, many of you all said Auburn would hire a white guy and they have hired a qualified white guy and you are still complaining. All that moaning about the white man is weak. Clean up your own house and do better.

If he's a hbcu retread we're looking out after our own cause pwc ain't even sniffing us but we've helped others

Name a white non hbcu coach who was passed over?

What does Deion have to do with White Male Privilege. He earned whatever job he takes.

Did Deion earn it?! I bet if I ask some SWAC coaches I'd hear otherwise. Hell, many of the posters here have said Deion is only successful because of his celebrity status. Call a spade a spade.

What has Deion done on the level of Hugh Freeze using state resources to run prostitutes' or Jimbo blowing millions

Just like I thought. You are avoiding the issue of black privilege. Hugh Freeze and Jimbo came up through the coaching ranks while Deion didn't. Deion being privileged is part of what Eddie Robinson is saying with his "Who is/Who isn't SWAC" comment. Every socioeconomic group has a measure of privilege. The issue with some of you is that you are jealous of the white man's privilege and like many of our black people you won't build up what you have.

Deion is a celebrity and people just want to be in the room with him so they'll take a phone call or meeting with him - that's how life is - but that's once in a lifetime

our problem is we get HBCU folks to do what's told to get noticed and we still get ignored - Rod Broadway - who went to UNC and coached at Duke, UNC, etc. could not get a sniff from his own despite kicking everyone's azz - or guys like Pete Richardson who came in kicking butt not even up for anything

or we get guys in the HBCU ranks who make it to the elite level but get stuck cause they got paid way more than we can offer or they're not thought of to be a coordinator - just a recruiter

again - if Deion was Hugh Freeze does he get a second chance in the SEC? Hell no

Kanye West is that you?
