So far Grambling has received four confirmed verbal commitments from Newellton tight end Chris Snowden, Newellton defensive tackle Orlando Jackson, Forest (Houston) High linebacker/defensive end Chandre Word and Woodlawn-Shreveport offensive lineman Lataurus Simpson.

I see GSU has a Houston kid committed but this has to be wrong. Why? The local paper here had a kid named CJ Williams committed to GSU but then he was listed to TSU.

I opened the Houston newspaper on Saturday and the coach from Klein Forest said the Ward kid was going to Prairie View and Williams to TSU. Who is right and who is wrong?

I'll be in the office early this morning and see for myself.
 



It's good that PVU and TxSU is upgrading it's talent. There's no shame in competing with you guys for talent...it's good for the league. Shows that your coaches have an eye for talent cuz Doug recruits good players/athletes.

HE PROBABLY FIGURED HE WOULD HAVE A CHANCE TO PLAY HIS FRESHMAN YEAR AT PV, RATHER THAN RIDE THE PINE FOR 2 YEARS FOR THE ICON.
 
GSU signed some kids from Houston ISD but good luck on getting them qualified. We ran into a wall with kids from certain school districts.

Tell me about the RB from Klein Forest named Larry Nicholls that SU signed. I bet you didn't notice we had slipped into Houston again. :swink: So what is the skinny on the kid?
