LeBron should know respect is not a one-way street

This is sad.:smh:
Ya'll pass mofo's everyday that you would spit on rather than even acknoledge they are in your presence.

Bet it's somebody at work right now that ya'll would not even say HELLO too if you passed them in the hall.
I would love to have secret cameras following some of ya'll around just to see how many of you practice what ya'll preach in everyday life.

This is sad. :smh:

Simply put, Lebron punked out. He ran from the pressure of losing, he ran from the press, his fans and the media.
.

Didn't Kobe attempt to do the same thing a few years back when bitched about not having enough talent to win? Didn't he threaten to sign with the Clippers and want to be traded to the Bulls because he could not handle losing? He thought about turning his back on all his fans because he could not handle losing in the playoffs with what he deemed as an inferior team.

Granted, LeBron probably should have shaken hands, but it's not that big of a deal.

What does this have to do with sportsmanship? Players ask for trades on a monthly basis. This is in EVERY players contract, which is to face the media afterwards and he knew this. Shaq got fined 25,000 one time as did others.

The Commissioner didn't ask to talk to Kobe because of what he did in asking for a trade because he did nothing wrong. In actuality, the team is better because of Kobe's leadership and they got Gasol due to Kobe's pressure.

Lebron's supposed to be the "face of the league" and is getting millions for it, but it's obvious the pressure got to him.
Even more important, how does this look for kids who are watching the games? Not good at all.

This was also about simple respect. Even some diehard Cleveland fans didn't like it.
Lebron, on the other hand, left his teammates to have to face the media and the humiliation of sitting at the press conference, while he sat his ass on the bus listening to music instead of facing the music.

The fact that he didnt shake hands was not the big issue to me. maybe he wanted to get off the court as soon as possible and let the Magic celebrate....and they looked like they were busy doing just that. He could have gotten Dwights attention and just thowed up the peace sign. But all of that is not important.

HE SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE PRESS CONFERNECE AND FACED THE MEDIA. Thats the worst part. He left his team mates out to dry. He is the main one in front of the camera after a win, so go to the press conference after a loss. Its not like he didnt know a loss was a possibilty for 2 days leading up to the game.

All he had to do was say, Congrats to the Magic, they played well...we didnt play well, we have to regroup and try harder next year. But dont just walk off like a lil punk and leave your team mates to answer for you. dont run to the bus and hide.

The guy is 24 but he is not a man. A real MAN would have stood up and answered those questions and tried to say the right things. He obviously has a lot of maturing to do.

All those excuses you guys made for him are just that, excuses. It sad

Speaking from an athlete's perspective, as long as I remember going back to Tee Ball, my coaches always instilled in us to shake hands after the game and show good sportsmanship. If people threw their glove, pouted, and etc they were punished. People have to realize at the end of the day what you are playing is JUST A GAME. If someone is better than you and beats you, man up, shake their hand, face the music, and get better so the next time you get the W. End of story.

did kobe snitch on Shaq?

if he did IMO you can't leave a teammate or former teammate much more dryer than that.

Tony,

Why you think most folk don't like Kobe now? IMO they dislike Kobe for snitching on Shaq.

See.
Ya'll didn't have to go there.:splat:

My boy did sing like Patty Labelle when he was at the police station though.
Never in the history of professional sport's has someone called out other athelete's when they get caught like that.

I should have done like Shaq and all the other guy's do.
Just pay them and be through with it.
:lmao:

Hell, if Shaq wouldn't have cheated on his wife, Kobe wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Kobe was a young man possibly facing jail time, which is a completely different scenario.
If Kobe wouldn't have cheated on his wife, he wouldn't have had to bring in Shaq's name either, so there you go.

On the other hand, IF Lebron had done his job and won, he wouldn't have had to worry about shaking anyone's hand. They would've had to come to him and shake HIS hand.
To whom much is given, much is expected.

Players, Kobe broke the most sacred of man laws with that bitch move. I still admire his game and give him his props. I got friends that readily admit his snitching is the reason they can't stand him. Not the rape allegations. He lost all his skills behind that.

damn! and you actually tried to explain kobe's snitching!

you got it bad jayrob. Real bad!

:smh::smh:

It's called acknowledging the fact the other person did a good job. I know the detroit "bad boys" didn't congratulate the Bulls in '90 when they got swept and it's still talked about to this day. With out sportsmanship, what's the purpose of playing the game. When you play someone in any sport and you beat them and they leave you hanging, the FIRST thing you call them is a b@tch. lebron been playing ball for at least ten years, he know better.

To live your life through somebody else, to attack the tee ball coach and beat him half to death or shot him and kill him, to have soccer mom free-4-all after every game. What else did you think the purpose was for?

That's irrelevant now cause "superhead" blew (no pun intended) Shaq's cover wayyy out the water.

Now back to the subject at hand......

:lol::lol::lol::lol:
When I heard him saying that on tape, I was wishing I could be a fly on the wall in NBA locker rooms.
Bet there were some puckered, sweating butt's up min them joint's.

The thing is the comment is still unfounded. They can't prove Kobe said that. but this aint about Kobe. The folks who hate Kobe will and that's that. But this is about Lebron. GR said it best The press conference and no fine by Stern burns my chaps.

But since we still talking about it Wed and the game was Saturday. It's a big deal.

Exactly, all this coming from a pi@@ off cop because he couldn't bag the great Kobe Bryant for soiling his precious queen, that he beats the isht out of every night after the lakes whup his teams azz.

But you know us, the white man said it so it must be true.

Exactly...
And Jayrob idolize that dude... yall better keep "it" from around yall...

You know what they say..."Birds of a feather flock _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _"

:shame::shame::shame:

Lebron disappointed every little-league mom in the nation with that punk move.

Now you'll see thousands of our youth walk off the field, court and playground without shaking hands or simply saying "good game" to their opponent, and have the nerve to try and justify it by saying..."Lebron did it, so can I".:smh:

With out sportsmanship, what's the purpose of playing the game. .

In the case of pro sports it's to make a lot of money and win championships.

Screw sportsmanship.

I find it very hypocritical that as fans of pro sports in one breath we say "Oh, it's just entertainment" then when an athlete like LeBron James fails to shake hands or speak to the media after being eliminated from the playoffs we question his morals, values, call him every name under the sun and define him by that one moment.

Either pro sports means something or it does not mean anything. We can't have it both ways in my opinion.

Seriously, how can we possibly demand professional athletes to show sportsmanship when they work in a cut throat business? What if Mike Brown had gotten fired after the Cavs lost?

What was LeBron James supposed to say to the Magic players? "Oh, good game and good luck in the Finals even though you helped get my coach lose his job."
