My sentiments exactly!!!!!Terrible headline for a good thread.
Name me one player who has used his status to get his son drafted in the NBA? The league is 70% Black. Most of the criticism of players is going to be directed at 7 out of 10 players. Criticism of Bronny James is par for the course, given his skill level. His dad wants to bully Stephen A. for having an opinion about his son’s talent. Give me a break! Dude is not the GOAT, but he thinks nobody should criticize his kid who averaged 4 points a game in college. I am no longer a Laker fan because of Him. Referees let him travel, now everybody travels. Dude used his influence to get his son drafted and journalist and fans are suppose to not criticize His son! I’ve said enough.LeBron gets more praise from the media than any modern athlete of his generation. In this situation, LeBron is conflating disrespect with legitimate criticisms.

Lebron and Bronny are far from criticism ON the court. But when you start questioning folks parenting on National TV, don’t cry wolf when you’re checked publicly. SA talks out the corner of his mouth at times, and he has a $100 million new contract that rewards that. Hell he even has said if players have a problem, he’s quote “not a hard man to find”. Don’t question a man parenting decision, then play victim and go a media tour to use it as clout.I think both are being dramatic. On LBJ's son, I think some criticism is warranted, some isn't. Dude survived a heart attack. He can't be THAT bad compared to people who don't get close to the league. *shrug
I don't care for Stephen A though. One minute he coons out with zero stones to read the room or see the klan-ness for what it is, the next, he's a martyr this in-your-face Black braggodocio.
What did SAS say about LeBron's parenting? I've heard many people talk about this, but I haven't seen any quotes.Don’t question a man parenting decision, then play victim and go a media tour to use it as clout.

Can someone educate me?
LeBron James absolutely knows his kid wasn’t collegiate material — let alone an NBA talent. I’m no fan of SAS, but he’s correct to say James, as a parent, should not have put his son in the position to be the object of this criticism. Forcing the Lakers to draft Bronny did him no favors. James seems to have purposefully set Bronny up for derision.
Just curious...If he wasn't collegiate material or nba/g-league talent, how is he able to do well now in his g-league games? Also, can someone do me a favor and pull up the stats of the #1-5 pick from this year's draft and see how they are doing?LeBron James absolutely knows his kid wasn’t collegiate material — let alone an NBA talent. The argument was that Bronny wasn't NBA-ready a season after having an unimpressive one-year stint at USC. And lots of guys do well in the G-League but can't cut it in the NBA. Mac McClung led the G-League in scoring and can't get off the bench on NBA rosters despite being a slam-dunk champion.Just curious...If he wasn't collegiate material or nba/g-league talent, how is he able to do well now in his g-league games? Does Stephen A Smith, voice the same displeasure when his boss's daughter or his colleague's daughter/son become a producer/anchor on the ESPN/ABC without a degree?
Just weird energy for the 55th pick of the draft and have the expectation of him coming in and be a difference maker.
At the end of day, I think Stephen A Smith just would have said, "Bronny stinks, or isn't good enough right now", then all is fair in that criticism. No need to lead with "As a father Lebron"...ninja please.
Hell, Stephen A Smith didn't even lead with that statement with Lavar Ball
Of course, YOU side with Stephen A. Smith. lolI've finally had a chance to kinda catch up on this mess. And I'm telling you all now.
SAS never questioned LeBron's role as a father to his son. He called out Lebron's actions as a father who wanted to play with his son. And I believe SAS when he says he had no problem coming on LeBron's podcast, but made the stipulation that LeBron be present for the show and that the episode not be edited.
How do you believe a guy that at first said he understood why Lebron stepped to him, then after seeing how the media portrayed it, went on a world tour of media to talk crazy? Lebrpn's first time saying something was yesterday, but yet SAS got on TV today and called him petty and said that LBJ was in his feelings? LOLI've finally had a chance to kinda catch up on this mess. And I'm telling you all now.

What do you mean, "of course?" I don't always agree with SAS.Of course, YOU side with Stephen A. Smith. lol
