These young people are not getting signed for that amount of money to go overseas. They would be happier playing right here in the USA than going over there.
I think that it could be a game changer. You have some of these young men that have nothing and you want them to go play in college where they really don't want to be to play for nothing. Those that are potential one and done are taking basket weaving classes their 1st year and then dropping out after basketball season ends just to pacify the NBA. Why not go get to play and get a little cash. It's not much but it's better than nothing.
If you could get 80 kids to buy into this it could get to be legitimate. The CBA went out of business in 2010, so that is not a option. It could challenge the NBA-D league for having the better younger players and they could sign them to stay there if they don't get signed by the NBA.
The NBA don't won't to mess up their relationship with the colleges on getting players early and that's the only reason they came up with that 1 year rule. They could have made their D league a true minor league for their teams.
