Uhhh...Smush lost his starting spot.
so, how can you blame a damn bench player who played all of 10 minutes?

btw, speaking of 10, you do know that kobe took 10 shots in the 4th quarter. Made only 1 of 'em. :( That's 10 percent. :bawling::bawling:

MH, I know you to be a smart man, but I see you like to play dumb on the Internet.

Actually mh, he took 12 shots. Don't start lying on Kobe man. snicker

NICE

Funny you mention that. I wonder if West still has it in him now that he is leaving Memphis. I would if he and Buss can mend fences and bring West back to L.A. It may be too soon for West now, but I wonder if after a year or two he'd come back to the Lakers.

Soggy, if West came back in a year or 2 it would be too late. The Lakers will have imploded by then. Kobe would be on the downside of his career and Phil is just like Pete is at SU right now...........retired but drawing a big check. LOL

Nah if Buss wants to do right. He would remove his son, daughter and fire Kupchak. Bring Jerry back. Then lay the law down to the team including Ebok. Get rid of them scrubs that Kupchak has brought in and start swindling some dumb team in the draft for picks and players like they used too. The bad thing for the Lake Show is that Phoenix currently owns the Hawks(one of those dumb teams) lottery pick this upcoming draft. As long as the Hawks ping pong ball does not fall in the top 3......Phoenix will get that pick. Can you imagine them with the 4th pick in the draft this year, not to mention they have another mid first pick acquired from a trade and their own. That's 3 1st round picks for a team already loaded. With Golden State getting better it is going to tough for the Lakers in their own division.

Forget you MH..........:goof: ............FORGET YOU STRAIGHT TO :devil2:.

Btw: SMUSH has started well over 120 games in his years there.
He the best point we got....................

I'll take the rookie ANY day over smush, even if he was on crutches, with one broken arm, and a cast on each hand.

JR, that is what I'm trying to tell them. The Fakers are on a down slope and it's not getting better.

Not true at all. All the Lakers need is one more big time player with half the clout Kobe has. That player could be Kidd, Garnett or O'neal...Jermaine, that is.
The other players can really be role players, which is what they are to begin with.
If kupchak doesn't do anything this off season, Laker fans are really gonna be calling for his head. Right now, he's just being tolerated.

Dude, you can get Michael Jordan. With Ebay (Mr. This my team, I'll take all the shots) on the court, you all will STILL lose. Ebay will not share the lime-light, and least of all the ball, with anyone

Hey jr if im correct the suns have the Hawk's pick, the Bulls's pick (they drafted Luol Deng) and the Knick's pick (the suns also drafted Nate Robinson),now i cant remember which one they have but i know they have at least two of those three 1st round draft picks.Thats why i say the Matrix is gone after this season.

How many times have we seen Kobe dish the ball off in those instances only for the player to f-up the finish? You point has no merit.

We don't get to see that often cause he DON'T pass it often.LOL Really you can see people from any team miss wide open shot's on a daily basis, so that is bull crap for you to say that this just happens on the lakers team, I saw Ben Gordon miss a wide open shot the other night and I was pissed but it happens, you have to just keep passing just like Kobe keeps shooting even though is is 1 for eternity. And I'm not a Kobe hater, I think he is a good player but the truth is the truth.

There is no way the Lakers will be able to afford Kobe, L Odom AND KG in 2008-09.

Yep, they have the Hawks pick. Which is projected to be the number 4 pick. They have another pick from Cleveland I think and then they will have the their own pick at the bottom of the first round. So they have 3 first round picks.

Believe me. The Lakers will have no problem giving up Odom for the right player. The Lakers will give up Odom before they give up Bynum.

I keep trying to tell Laker and Kobe fans that. Now Garnett can opt out of his contract after next season. Which he will leave 1 year on the table at over 20 million here in Minnesota. So he would have to take a pay cut to go play in most places as free agent. But who is to say he will go the Lakers? If he opts out then he can go anywhere he wants. What if he decides he want to go play with Shaq and D-Wade. Could you imagine that? It would be better him just playing with Kobe. Or what if KG wants to go back Chicago where he finished his HS career and play with the baby Bulls who are up and coming? If I am Minnesota, I call Phoenix up with them 3 damn 1st round picks and ship KG there for them and one of their players like a Shawn Marion or somebody. Otherwise I do not think KG will be traded to another West team, because nobody has anything the Timberwolves can use. Especially the Lakers. Phoenix is attractive due to the players they have along with all them first round picks. I see KG sticking around and then opting out next year and heading somewhere better than what the Lakers have currently. Heck KG would be better off in Cleveland with LeBron than with Kobe. LOL.

If they can't trade him (and right now, he DOES NOT appear to be worth the 14.6 MIL he'll make in '08-'09), they won't be able to afford KG. The timing won't help LA because KG WILL sign with someone in the summer of '08. If the Wolves are smart, they will trade KG THIS summer.

That right player will not be KG then. He costs too much and even Odom would not satisfy the league trading guidelines. The best thing the Lakers can do is try to pry away some better role players from other teams or try to sign some free agents. Also try to draft better than they have would be helpful.

We were just talking about this in the barbershop Saturday. The Wolves need to move Garnett this summer. But I do not think they will trade him to LA. I look at teams who have alot of players they can move and have draft choices to combine with the players. LA just doesn't have anything valuable to Minnesota. Odom aint enough. It would have to involve a 3 team trade to get KG to LA. Of course McHale has said he has no intention on trading KG.

Either trade KG or let him walk for free. That should be a no-brainer. He!!, if they DON'T trade him this summer, they might end up with Lamar Odom for him because EVERYONE knows he has an opt-out clause. The longer the Wolves wait, the less they will get for KG.

The lakers had an excellent draft last year (Bynum and Farmer). Both of them were picks for the future which are devloping ahead of time.

Keep in mind that up til mid season, the lakers were battling for the 4th spt in the West until the injury problems kicked in. Walton got hurt, Odem was hurt, Kwame got hurt as well as Vlade.

Yep. That's why I would call Phoenix. They have more to offer. Plus it would send KG to a contender. You got to remember even if they trade KG. The team that gets him has to be able to sign him as well. Because his contract with that opt out clause goes with him. So say the Wolves trade him to NY. And KG is like fugg that and plays for the one season with NY and opts out. That is why it is going to be hard to move him. The sad teams can't afford to take that risk on taking him. The reason KG aint moaning and groaning is because he is sitting pretty. He knows he will be playing where he wants one way or another. The Wolves should have moved him before last season. Right now they have little to no choice in the matter.
