Lakers Defeat Rockets!!!!!

Regardless of what has been said in this thread, there is absolutely no justifiable reason that Lakers should have lost to the Rockets after Yoa went down.

Win and advance.

Each series has it's own flavor. Houston's just playing good ball at home, while the Lakers are taking them for granted.

They'll be okay once they get past Houston. What don't kill you makes you stronger.

Who does that dude think he is... He always takling to the refs like they should treat him like he is the G.O.A.T. I wish we can have them refs mic'ed up...

Refs - "Dude, you are not MJ..... And by the way you are not even Lebron, now play ball Batch!!!"

I will tell you one thing..."IF" LA gets past Houston, I don't see them beating Denver..... Chauncey will abuse D. Fisher..... And the rest of that Denver team is waay to physical and hard for this soft arse Laker team that is struggling with this crippled Rockets team... This is almost the end of LA's rope.... This LA team will have to restructure, Kobe will cry about it and will more than likely this TIME LEAVE LA for sure trying to find a team he can more than likely win another ring on with out the Big Fella.. This will make LA look so stupid in the end.. and SHaq will make another song about it, we all will laugh... you will cry.. and life will be great....LOL

Oh well, don't say I didn't tell yall...

And when the Celtics went 7 with the lowely Hawks last season their was no panic.

Or The Current Celtics with two alstars...Two still struggling with the Lowely Bulls.

The Lakers are not playing well in Houston and Aaron Brooks is shooting lights out at home. I still think Phil Jackson is suspect in his coaching but that's no excuse we lost last night and we can only learn from it.

If LA is wetting the bed with this chopped down Houston team, What in samhell do you think will happen against that Denver team?

One thing I give Denver, when they do get past the first round they usually go all the way through the west...

MB's been screaming that since the 90's...

The National Broadcasting Association and Phil is really playing alot of you fans, although I agree Phil isn't as great of a coach as the media has made him out to be but he's nowhere near as horrible of a coach as we saw in 4/6.

See if Kobe was leader everyone is touting him to be, this series would have been over as soon as Yao put his $1,000 suit on. Until Kobe dominates in the playoffs without Shaq and not let his team lose like Jordan did, people will always question if No. 24 would have those three championship rings without the big fella.

Good point. I was no fan of the Bulls, but I must admit that when Jordan encountered an opponent that was mortally wound, he did not hesitate to deliver the finishing blows. Win or lose he was going to play hard and attempt exert his will onto the opponent... even if it meant getting physical and going to the line 20 times in a game.

LOL at the Laker fans throwing Phil Jackson under the bus.

If critiquing a coach in your opinion is throwing him under the bus, then so be it.

It's not that difficult to design a defense to stop or at least slow down the simple pick and roll.
--Play zone defense or teach your players to trap the guy with their hands in the passing zone, while the baseline players slide up in the passing zone.
--Stop the offensive player from driving to the basket with his strong hand, like Scola and Brooks did time and time again last night.
--Call timeouts in a timely manner.

Amateur coaches know this.

I hear ya. But it very well could've been that Phil Jackson had no intention whatsoever of doing any of the above. Predetermined!!!

I bet Vince McMahon has thoroughly enjoyed this series.

Jordan didn't do it alone. He had Pippen, Rodman, Grant who were not afraid to play hardnosed defense and who did stop teams and still won even though Jordan may have had a bad shooting day. Jordan didn't do it alone, not by a longshot.

The Lakers have too many players who are afraid to get down and dirty like Kobe and Ariza do most of the time. Gasol, Walton, Farmar and Odom are not those type of players and Jackson has them playing heavy minutes.
Kobe PLEADED with Gasol to play defense, but it's just not in him to do it for long periods of time.

You guys seam to forget Jordan's supporting cast were some tough guys. That game last night was a micro cosume of bad coaching, bad effort and bad officiating. LA got within two and all of sudden the calls started coming. Bottom line the NBA needs these games. If LA and Orlando had swept their teams the playoffs wood get no ratings. Now you have two Sunday games and you've pushed the conference finals to Wed for both teams.

The LA team last night is not the one that will show Sunday. I mean dang did you guys not watch that mess last night. It was rigged..

I don't doubt it dude. I've been saying this since the 90s. But, if there's any truth to the Lakers throwing last night's game, they've got to be the dumbest squad ever. I was sitting there thinking, "Why in the world would the Lakers even chance a game 7? Does it NOT occur to them that the Rockets could come out freakishly hot on Sunday???"

I don't know if it's some people lack of knowledge of the game or simply their dislike of Kobe, but I can't do anything but laugh when I read how some actually try to compare the team that Kobe has to put on his shoulder and win a championship with to the ones Michael had and the one Shaq went to.

Let's see the teams Michael won rings with had Scottie (FHF), Rodman (FHF), Robert Horry (FHF) and several others that escapes me.

Shaq's team had D Wade (FHF), ZO (FHF), Gary Payton (FHF) and a few others I can't think of at that moment.

Now how many future hall of famers are on Kobes team helping him win?

Phil is pulling a Pete. He is laid up with the owners daughter, got enough titles as player and coach....making big loot.......he done retired. LOL.

Phil never let that long of stretches go without calling a timeout when he coached the Bulls. Phil has also gotten more full of himself now than he was in Chicago. I think Phil is like fugg it.......I am Phil Jackson beyotch. LOL.

Not an excuse, guys. Not against this Rockets team. Lebron's supporting cast is hardly distinguished. Who does he have with him that can be feared? Mo Williams?

Yet the Cavs have been whippin' inferior teams' azzes thoroughly. Lebron could've gotten lax when this last series shifted to Atlanta and dropped game 3. What does Lebron do instead? He puts up 45 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. He increased his output. He willed his team to victory in a situation where they probably could've coasted.

ZERO!!! I would love to see somebody disagree and provide evidence as to why they do before the mods close this thread.:emlaugh:
