Sometimes I really think black folks don't have common sense. If I was running for office in a country that is 65% white and I am black that has a population of 15% with knowing less than 9% of them vote and I wanted to propose something specifically for blacks I would be stupid as hell to tell the majority white people that. Black folks gotta stop being sensitive all the time. There is a reason why the Bible says never tell the left hand what the right hand is doing.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you think you know how she feels, but the question that was asked about reparations was a loaded one. If Harris had flat out said, "Yes, black folks deserve reparations," her campaign would be over as soon as she said it.
No one should be surprised and no one should be offended. This is politics. The game of politics ain't easy. It isn't fair. It isn't nice. It's not for the weak. And even though there are rules in place, politicians don't play by the rules.
I think Harris has been in the game long enough to know what needs to be done to advance. There is no such thing as a perfect politician. Obama wasn't perfect. Harris isn't perfect either, but there are a couple of brothers and sisters who come to mind that I think would be worse than Harris.
Harris is simply playing the long game right now.
She wouldn't win... and many of those asking for a Black Agenda still wouldn't vote for her.
Women (regardless of race)= 53% of the total voters in 2016.
Latinos (white and black) = 12% of registered voters. Blacks (non latino) 7%
Middle Class = the majority of voters in the USA regardless of race and gender.

While those numbers are true, that doesn’t mean anything to black people who desire someone who looks like them, have shared social and cultural experiences as they do, to be sensitive to the unique needs they have, which have been largely ignored by whites in power in at all levels of government.
We shouldn’t be critical of black voters who want to know how a black POTUS candidate will go about trying to serve their interest.
You think a Latino wouldn’t be asked what they’re going to do for Latinos? or what a gay candidate might do for the gay community? Or what a woman candidate might do for women?
A large part of supporting a candidate, for individuals or groups, is the belief that they will cater to their interests.
Let me ask you this....
What are candidates saying they will do for Latinos and Gays that Blacks don't already have?

The Anti-Lynching bill that was rushed through with LGBT attachments that basically made them a protected class. And EVERY candidate is saying something in regards to immigration. Immigration doesn't help black people. It hurts them quite honestly. Also Harris pushed/pushing for a bill that would help Indians (her other half) get fast tracked to HR-1 which helps them get tech jobs over homegrown tech people with degrees.

I don't get why this is such a foreign concept for people. Yes a "black" president is the president of the US which includes BLACK people. I can guarantee you Trump or Hillary won't go out of their way to prove how non-white they are by overcompensating with support for others. The Obama experiment looks more like a failure with each passing moment so black people are gonna be gunshy with Kamala especially with her record against black people in CA.
I am so glad to see black people FINALLY waking up and taking politics more serious and being critical of candidates instead of just falling for pandering and seeing the power of their vote
Black people are no worse off now under Trump than any other president so that's why we can handle it. It's the others that are panicking.

Politicians can’t even articulate fair critcisms of Israel without being called anti-Semitic.
If black politicians can’t express support for black people without fear of losing an election, because white American wouldn’t like it, then why the hell should we as a people participate in the voting process at all?
We gotta get out of this mindset to accept making white folks feel comfortable in order to get what we want when they never give a damn about how we feel.

I used to. Was very loyal to the process. Until about 12 years ago when I got tired of so many folks I voted for turning out to be nothing more than do-nothing lackies who were only out for themselves and turned their backs on the people they promised to support. They were aware of the inequities and disparities and the condition black people were in and either did nothing or paid lip-service to it.
So the answer is "No." I really didn't need a reason for you not voting, but whatever it is, you ultimately "punked out" and willingly gave the "W" to the very people who never wanted your black ass to vote in the first place.
And because you've come out of the closet and admitted that you don't vote, you technically have NOTHING to add to this conversation despite starting the thread. You've castrated yourself. Can you can't bitch about Kamala's policies. You can't complain about Obama. You can't complain about the political state of the very people you supposedly care about. Hell, you can't even bitch about Trump's sorry racist ass.

That’s the thing ... I’ve never bitched about Trump in any thread on here.
And I can complain about anything I want as long as the government requires I pay taxes. As long as that transaction exists, I have a right to know how they’re going to best serve me and mines.
That's because you can't. You don't vote.
Meanwhile there are people who DO vote, make more money than you, and they don't pay a dime in taxes.
