Just one GSU question. Did GSU have prisitine facilities in 2011?

Some pathetic responses in here. People actually saying the players should be responsible for cleaning this mess up and maintaining the equipment...just sad. If this is the type of support or lack thereof that they get down there then I see why they aren't playing and I don't blame em one bit.

Y'all taking this stuff out of context. Even at these expensive gyms that we pay monthly memberships, and who have staffs to clean up and take care of equipment, they post notices for the members to wipe the equipment that you're using when you finish. It's not feasible to have someone to be at every station to wipe it down when somebody finishes. That ain't a whole lot to ask. Nobody is saying keep screw drivers and other tools with you and fix stuff. But a simple wipe down after use can go a long way in keeping good hygiene.

Do you wipe the commode seat before you sit on it and wipe it if you piss on the rims or do you just leave it for someone else to do? It's called simple hygiene and it doesn't take more than 60 seconds to do it.

So they need to wipe off mold from the walls and floors?

Yall are sad. Yall expect student athletes to be janitors as well huh?

This is a deeper issue with us Black folks within HBCU culture. The older crowd looks down on the young crowd because they're "beneath" them, now the consequences are starting to set in.

It's simple folks: you reap what you sow. They've invested negativity, now they're getting their returns on those investments.

"Kids these days are lazy and irresponsible"

And these high and mighty fools RAISED THIS GENERATION. The kids are an outward reflection of the last generation dropping the ball with them. Now they want to point the finger like they don't have 3 fingers pointing back at their selfish, short sighted asses

If they think its mildew, why cant they get together and say "lets clean up the gym" rather than "lets boycott the next game."

Again, you guys are falling for the okieDoke. The kids have already been caught in a lie. Im assuming that they were told there was no mold, so that takes away that lie.

This has everything to do with them losing 48-0 to Alcorn and not wanting to face JSU. Lets see if they are still concerned about mildew tmrw

You're comparing wiping a toilet after you use it to cleaning up mold and mildew in a damn athletic training facility? Again, with these types of mentalities it's no wonder HBCU athletics stay losing. So now not only do we have to workout, we need to clean up the machines, go to Walmart, buy mildew remover, clean the walls, ceilings, floors, stalls etc....as players. Uh hello? Are these facilities not on campus? Isn't this something that people get PAID to do??? I don't care what you say you don't see this type of mess happening anywhere else and it's not the players jobs to take care of it either. And what about the new floor that supposedly got bought and the president wouldn't let be installed? Just WTF is going on at Grambling? You know it's bad when you have a home game and a damn D2 won't even go in your locker room because of how nasty it is. But it's the players responsibility to clean it.

If it is mold and mildew, it sounds like building maintenance is not properly maintaining the climate control in that building. If that is the case, I can only assume that there are other buildings on Grambling's campus that is experiencing the same problem, which goes back to institutional control.

The problems I'm seeing at Grambling is a combination of things. I do believe it's the responsibility of the players to maintain their personnel equipment, such as weight belt and shoulder pads, but the university should have given them some type of mold killing fungicide to spray on their equipment after each use. I do believe a $1.00 can of Lysol can take care of that. If there is mold and mildew on the wall, it's the university's responsibility to make sure the people that maintain the building's climate control are doing their jobs. What's happening at Grambling is a complete breakdown of the system when there's no institutional control.

Where's the evidence of mold and mildew other than some ethereal photos? If there were health issues, blame the state health department who inspected the place. You're still trying to defend a lie that was unsubstantiated by the state.
Where's the evidence of mold and mildew and staph infection causes? Where?
