JSU vs UAPB

Even if Kent did not start, we should be blowing UAPB out. If we don't win by three TD's .......................:redhot: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to assume that Kent did not play. I am proud of the defense though. These last three weeks, they have done a good job.

Flen started, Kent came on late in the second and went the rest of the way. This was a game between 2 poorly coached teams, Thankfully its probably the last matchup between Hughes and Hardaman. I'll give a more detailed update after I get back from dinner.

Woman is taking her time getting ready so.....

TP, its even worse than that. We had the ball on our 8 yard line, 4th down with about 30 seconds left with no UAPB time outs left. Instead of running the ball milking the clock, they tried a passing play, during which Kent was sacked and we turned the ball over on downs with about 20 seconds left.

I know that Gram dropped 60 on UAPB and SU trapped them in that pig pen but the only solice I have is that UAPB also stopped AlaState' s offense. They had to rally to score 16 points to squeak out the win against Pine-Bluff. Also, Kent has not practiced in two weeks. I am sure we are going to get him ready for Saturday in the ATL.

I hope Kent is back. I want to see the Tigers spank A&T. I'll be in the house cheering for the Tigers.

Go Braves!

Ice, do you live in the ATL??

I am fully confident that we will beat A&T. They have a horrible QB and our defense will be able to contain Hicks. It appears from the stat sheet and from Kool-Aid that Kent only played for the second half and only a small amount before the half in which time, he threw 2 TD's and passed for 200 yards. Our backups were not getting it done according to the stats. They need some game time experience. Kent really needed this game off (although he did not want it off). What we really need to do is settle on a running back. We have two good ones but any good running back needs a lot of reps to get into the groove of a game. Maybe Nate keeps fumbling or something but we need to pick one and go with that. Our special teams is going to make things hard. UAPB's offense only scored 3 points. The defense is looking up.

No, I live in South Carolina. Any time a SWAC school is near, I'm there. A few of the MEAC people talk smack, but the majority of them have a lot of respect for the SWAC schools no matter how much Rattlemaina and the rest of those clowns say.

You have "two good running backs"? Man is you crazy?

How do you run 43 times for 23 friggin yards with "two good running backs"?

BT,

You run Hicks 40 times for 200 yards. One our our running backs would be lucky to get 15 runs. Please run Hicks 40 times next week.

No Hicks ran 36 times against BCC. And 233 yards divided by 36 is still 6.47 yards per carry.

What did JSU's running backs average?

BT,

The law of averages says that if you run a person 40 times he will get one or two big runs. Run him 15 times, that probably decreases. Just simple logic.

But don't most mortal human beings get tired and worn down the more times they carry the ball? How come Hicks doesn't seem too?

Also, I thought if a running back was being ineffective in a game then you would go to someone else or start passing more. The only time you would keep giving the ball to him is if he's still doing good.

Obviously all of GSU's running backs most suck if Nolen had 10 carries for 39 yards, Counslor had 15 carried for 15 yards,
Mclaurin had 7 carries for 5 yards and Green had 3 carries for negative 13 yards.

That just tells me that your coach kept desparately looking for someone to run the ball past the line of scrimage but couldn't find anyone. After going through damn near every running back on your pathetic roster he finally just gave up.

Kent came into the game with about 1:50 left in the first half. We went about 75 yards in less than a minute. 2nd half was marred with fumbles that killed drives and Lawrence "futha mucking" Story dropping two picture perfect Kent bombs on drives that we wound up punting. Kent played well, for a gimp. But we really need to sit Story's azz down. The fans booed his azz.

The defense just gets better and better. UAPB got that one 4th quarter FG after they took possession on the JSU 30.

If Kent can't play, our azzes are sunk. The backups couldn't get anything going. The running attack was stuffed because UAPB stacked 8-9 men in the box and dared the backups to pass. Then our playcalling was so predictable that everybody knew when we were gonna run and when we were gonna pass.

Story should have sat this season out. The staff knew that he was injured when the season started. He could have came back next year in better condition. Last year, he was not one to drop passes.
