And you would think that with all of these super WRs they would be running up and down the field scoring on everyone. They dont and their players are over rated and over hyped only by the people on this board.

With all of these great WRs SU is 6th in scoring in the SWAC right above Grambling and Valley. Thats how great those WRs are.

First of all, you can't go by Ticketmaster becasue they sell the best available. SU is the visitor side so they ain't gonna sell those .. 'cause ain't nothing BEST about that side.

Hey j4l

Since yall have these great WRs, why is SUs scoring offense on the bottom half of the SWAC
The only teams with worse offenses than SU is Valley Gram Texas Southern and AAMU
So how are these multiple scoring WRs helping?
 
On top of that, it's PROVEN that the SU defense can't stop nobody especially when the other teams NEEDS to score. They don't want to get into a shootout with JSU. Our offense may not be dynamic but dammit we score when we have to. Its up to you if you want to lose 19-14 or 42-31. It's your choice. :lol:

Let me share something....

Having a balanced OFFENSE is when you can move the ball effectively(down the field) via Pass AND RUN. Scoring is the end result and it's not a clear indicator as if you have a balanced OFFENSE or not.


Multiple guys scoring via Run or Pass does not necessarily EQUATE to having a balanced offense. You do realize that scoring depends on the Key plays that got you there. For example:

1. You could have a turn over on defense that puts your OFFENSE in good field position to score via pass or run.
2. You could have a turn over on Special Teams that does the same.

In both instances, you are working with a short field and because of the turn overs, you have the momentum, in which you can pretty much open up your playbook. Call the right play(s), touchdown.


I just realized I am "talking " to folks who are clueless regarding the game of football. Blinded by hate, they can't have a halfway decent conversation about the game.

...and don't come up in here with that have you watched your team bullshit and I am speaking from logic bullshit either.

You do realize you have to call Ticketmaster to request a seat on SU's side. There are plenty seats left over there...my family just bought quite a few. :retard:

Y'all are probably buying them at a faster pace, or the locals are grabbing for that BOTB.

No you came in trying to spit knowledge or your self perseived knowledge of football and took it there. My response was to his comment about WR's. We have multiple TD RB's and a qB with TD's along with Receivers with multilple TD's. My final statement was not based on that solely but it was to clearly state that you are one demensional with all those WR's and no Running backs with significant production. Sheesh you only mustard 55 yards vs Bama State. You didn't come out after halftime and attack them as was stated becuase you didn't score in the 3rd....Bottom line you guys talk about WR's this WR's that. My overall statement was we are balanced so you have to prepare for both....Stop reaching for the James Bell crap. Let it go. Stump Mitchell was worse...You are a passsing team period. JSU is a Run team that can Pass and our stats overall clearly show we are balanced. Apparently it helps us win since we are the top team in the conference...Sheesh

I didn't argue the fact that you guys were balanced or not. I CLEARLY posted that having multiple scoring either run or pass doesn't signify you're balanced. Better yet, it's not a key indicator that you are.

Nope. I know JSU fans keep wanting that signature blowout of SU. But this game has too many emotions for that to happen. We could be 1-11 and show up in Houston with Stump, Bell, and Dr. Johnny all on the sidelines coaching SU and put up a fight against JSU and push that game into late in the 4th.

As GR and TP both have told me, SU just refuses to lay down to JSU. LOL. That's why this game makes a lot of yall nervous. You won't admit it on here which is fine. But I got homeboys who always say they know SU will not just take an arse kicking from JSU no matter what.

TP, you have said that every year. By now, you should know the SU and JSU series the last 20 years have very few blowouts. We got one against Bell and Hughes got one in dome right before Bell. Otherwise these games have been pretty tough. You fans want 50.
