JSU vs. GSU Tiger Fight 1988


Anyone remember when Wavy Dave body slammed Southern Mississippi's Golden Eagle in 1987? One thing about Wavy, he never initiated a fight, the opposing mascot did.
 
To me, it looked like GSU's Tiger wanted a dance off...but, came out of Wavey's peripherals the wrong way. That plus the fact that Wavey was dead in the middle of his routine....made him take that kuntry GrumSt. gyrating the wrong way...and, Grum ended up getting Tekken'd.

But, by seeing the previous post...I guess Grum had it coming already...:lol:


Now, I see why Grum is he!!-bent on getting back at Jst. every chance they get. And, that wasn't even the first time......

The late Wavy Dave vs Grambling Mascot......Forgot the year 1996, 1997 or 1998..

Everyone knows that after Wavy Dances he runs to the end zone and crashes into the goal post....

Well....A Grabmling mascot was leaned back on the goal post....

Wavy asked the Mascot to move and they DID NOT

Next thing you know Wavy ran back the opposite way and ran back at FULL FORCE!!!!!

WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone laugh....
Then the Grambling Tiger....

Fell to the ground....The head popped off...

It was a girl!!!! People gasped and then some of Gramblings Directors shoved Wavey...

then JSU Campus Police got in and then the Boom/////And then Boom...

From that point on for awhile...
Their had to be 2 JSU Campus Police members standing by the goal post at halftime....CLASSIC

Yep.
That Eagle tried to jump Wavey from behind.
When it was over and the Eagle got up, the bird's head was on BACKWARDS.

Man...............We almost fell out the 2nd deck of THE ROCK that day.
All USM fans could do was laugh with us at that shat. :lol:
 
I'll never forget that night. We took three arse whippins! (1) JState got us on the field and Lewis Tillman broke Walter Payton's rushing record (had over 200 yards), (2) the tiger beat our tiger (psycho), and (3) finally the boom got us. It hurts me to this day to admit that.

I remember all that!!!! :jump: :D :jump:
 



The BOOM showed a LOT of discipline and composure by keeping to their program on the field and not all at once bum-rushin the GSU mascot for interfering with their field program.
Guess they new Wavey had everything under control. The video shows just that.
