JSU To Play In Baton Rouge Regionals

Personally I don't think J-State can win the whole regional, but to me hears how they could stay around longer and make a pretty good showing...they should have treated this first game like a mid-week game. I say that because it was gonna be hard beating LSU even using your Ace. So save your Ace to the next day to face ULL or Sam Houston's #2, gives you a better chance at winning that game. If you win then you have your #2 to see a #3....that's just how I'd do it. My best chance at seeing more games and making the best realistic showing.....But all in all I am pulling for J-State all the way to Omaha...Go Tigers!:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

That's my mind. The probablilty of winning that first game is low. LSU will wait and throw NOLA in game #2. As a matter of fact, I would throw the #3 at LSU and try to win the next 2 elimination games with my 1 & 2 and let the chips fall where they may for the finals. I believe Jsu 1 & 2 have a good chance of beating Sam Houston or ULL if they play with no fear and concentrate. If Jsu can get pass game 2, they will be looking at the next team's #3 pitcher. My guess it would be either SH or ULL in games 2 and 3. The key is winning game 2.

LSU isnt going to pitch thier 1,2, 3 or midweek starter with Glenn out. They are really disrespecting jSU. I say throw your ace. This is jSU's best chance. jSU's #2 should be able to beat Sam Houston. Truth be told jSU's ace isnt their best pitcher. Russell is as he just came back from a knee injury. I would start Russell game 2. He was the SWAC preseason pitcher of the year. Also in the past, SU has had plenty of opportunities to beat LSU in the regionals, and the games were always competitive since the late 90's. Even LSU teams that won the national championship, the game always came down to the late innings.

We'll agree to disagree. As I stated earlier, different teams and different circumstances (LSU already announced that Eades is starting......Perhaps they will have a last minute change but doubt it). BTW, SH has two pitchers with an almost identical 3 run ERA......(If SH get past ULL).

LSU not starting Eades. I can guarantee you that, especially with Glenn being suspended. Like I said, JSU's #1 on paper isnt their real #1. Russell is their best pitcher.

Well, for right now I am going to go with what was announced in The Advocate. :lol: :emlaugh: But something can change and they may very well change their strategy. If Russell is "the real #1" then Jsu should be ok in game 2. I just want them to win something. :lol: :emlaugh:

He was the preseason pitcher of the year, but injured his knee. Paul Manneri always does stuff like that. :lol: Watch who they start.

We'll see. He already said Eades will be starting today and Nola will be starting the next game. It'll be interesting to see what really happens.

Nola will get the start Saturday, but Eades wont start today. Like I said Minnari does this alot. Had done it all season. Announced one starter, and when folks get to the park, someone else starting. :lol:

No I didn't hear anything, just my gut feeling, for the first time ever, i could be wrong though :lol: .Btw coach Cador just went off the air. He was giving a report on JSU. Coach is a great on the air personality.
