Now you know J-State fans are not in the joking mood too much these days anymore.BgJag said:Got to explain somethings to some people. Been knowing Rob since 99, it was a joke...get it?
Y'all need to stop LYING. You can't hold a full scrimmage for a Spring game either with only 8 offensive linemen. Scrimmages don't last as long as Spring games. That's why y'all aren't have a Spring game (no matter what format you are using).Robber said:"If" being the operative word. Like TP has been saying, we could do an "offense vs. defense" spring game. We coulda just named this scrimmage the spring game.
JSU/99 said:Bell was hated from the moment he came in. Losing has just intensified that hate. Public relations can't help that. Please tell me how a spring game would help his image right now.
You need to keep your mind on your own business. We've had a spring game with less than 8 O-linemen. Stick to badgering TP. Those damn offense vs. defense games y'all have ain't nothing but a controlled scrimmage.Mr. SWAC said:Y'all need to stop LYING. I don't concur with that. I think that if Bell had taken the criticism and opposition seriously, he could have done and said things to moderate those ill feelings. Instead of making statements that appeared arrogant to people who don't know him personally, he could have told the JSU people that he understood why they did not approve of his hiring, but then told them to give him a chance before they made up their minds about him. He could have told them the he unsterood the JSU traditions, that he had always been a fan of JSU football and some of its widely known coaches and players. I believe that the fans would have reacted differently to him and his losses if he had employed diplomatic responses to the criticism, and appeared to be humble. Making statements, like the one he made about 99% of the JSU fans, are not calculated to win friends and influence people.
Ours last just a long as a Spring game. You act like there is only one format used for a Spring game. And if you really cared for TP, you would tell him to go sit his arse down somewhere. REAL Friends know when to say when. You got that dude looking a fool and don't care. :shame:Robber said:You need to keep your mind on your own business. All of what you say would've helped him initially. But none of that mattered once he started losing. He would've made himself look better with more diplomacy, but that wouldn't have gotten the fans off his back. Heck we sometimes treat our winning coaches(WC, Big Daddy) like isht. What you don't understand is that a lot of this boils down to the school as a whole. A lot of alums don't trust the President(despite the fact that he's doing a good job) and feel that he's out to destroy the school in some way. Bell is an easy target for the ones who dislike the overall direction of the school. Granted he hasn't helped himself with his public comments, but do you really believe people will be more inclined to support him with his record if he made better comments in the press? Some of the biggests a-holes in sports are winning coaches. Some of the nicest guys in sports are losing coaches. But none of that matters because in the end, the fans are going to support the winners. For most of our fans it boils down to this: he's 6-17, he needs to go. Until those numbers change, nothing is going to help improve his image with the alums.Oracle said:JSU/99:
