JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- When he missed a municipal court date in Magee this week, Jackson State quarterback Jimmy Oliver was convicted on two charges and given a $1,000 fine and 21 days in jail.

The Clarion-Ledger reported on its Web site late Wednesday that that Oliver, a senior from Columbia, was arrested in Magee on Oct. 25 and charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.

Jackson State receiver Rodney Gray was arrested in Lamar County on Thursday for possession of marijuana in moving vehicle, possession of alcohol in a dry county, improper turn, no seatbelt and no tag.
