What was the outcome of the case where the boys friend accidently shot him and the football team was initially accused? Was the friend convicted, sentenced, or has the case not come up yet?
I think the friend was convicted of the shooting....
Don't think it has come up yet, (I have not seen or heard about a trial or guilty plea), but he has been charged with his cousins murder. Last I heard he was still being held with no bond. have not heard anything else from the family about a lawsuit against JSU since he was arrested either.
I think he pleaded no contest and has since been sentenced. I guess we'll never get that apology or some kind of editorial from the C-L for dragging the school's name through the mud like they did.
They never had a lawsuit to begin with. It was a tragic story but they back with a gun. No lawyer is going to try to defend that.
With all the finger pointing at the football team, saying they was the ones that did it, holding interviews on the JSU Plaza, it was coming before they found out it was actually the cousin that had the only gun there. :smh:
Yep. And the Klan Ledger took it and ran with it. I'm not even mad at the family. I could only imagine her frustration- your son is dead and you drive 5 hours and nobody has any answers.....school officials not willing to talk about it. I totally understand her outcry on that.
What irks me is how the C-L had her story all in the headlines. Ross Dellenger was digging for stuff that wasn't there. On his blog, it seemed he was just trying to make stuff up at times. But when the truth came out, it was just some fly-by-night article that still didn't really clear the air on the football teams' responsibility- which was nada.
:smh:
Folks on TSPN tried to crucify JSU football team as well.
GR does not know what happened to the murderer, but GR does know there was some AfricanAmericans on THIS board that were happy as hell at the thought of a JSU football player shooting someone.
DCG MightyHornet and CeeDog specifically were happy as hell when they got wind of the incident. Them cats were happier than slaves on Juneteenth. And man did they run with it...
I have never seen so many criminal psychologist, crime scene investigators, and prosecutors in my life. Man they had all the answers from what they heard somebody say that they heard somebody said.

The ramifications of this incident capitulates the malfeasance of modern AfricanAmerican society. As a people we have to emulcifiy congruently illusive conglomerates to rectify occurences in the future.

JSU produces thugs and killers. "JSU where getting a education can cost you your life".
Because of his BamaState education and his limited responses in smileys/phrases, I assumed MightyHornet couldnt write a complete sentence....

That AfricanAmerican turned into a mixture of JR with the Physics Degree from Southern and Micheal Eric Dyson when this incident happened. That dude started writing 4 and 5 paragraph replies. He started using big words, subject verb agreement, leading sentences, and summations. I didnt know he had it in him. Maybe he didnt, but maybe hate can bring this out of you.
I made up a phrase a looooong time ago that sums up this situation. This much hate, cant be healthy.

Huh? Is that MightyHornet?
:smh:
don't include me in the sad lies you tell. show me ONE post where I (or anybody else) posted anything about being happy about that young man being killed. The kid was from Atl too.
:smh:
It was sad and tragic. Period. With or without any players being charged.
I felt sorry for his family. Then and now. With or without any players being involved. Ask yourself , why you didn't feel any sympathy for the young man's family when you thought some of the Jsu football players may be charged. :scared:
You don't have to post the answer.
Carry on.....
