He hasn't been named starter, yet. Most of us just remember how talented this kid was, and have seen his film. Again, all of that doesn't matter until he hits the field. One thing we do know...if Trey Rutland, with a putrid run game, can win 7 games in this conference...this guy surely can do better.

That billboard have several other folks on it. Not like it was a billboard with just him on it. LOL. And Jacoby did win the SWAC as QB.

Come on JR u know in college football its all about systems and having the right fit within a programs....
 
I still give Comegy credit. He goes after players from anywhere. He sees a whole and tries to fill it with the best. Can't knock his hustle. If more coaches in this league did that we would be a beast.

Bowden runs an wide open/spread attack doesn't he? Isn't Comegy going to continue some semblance to the Air Raid offense which was wide open/spread type? I expect one of your other Qbs to be the starter. This white QB would have to come in and be better than Casey not to get criticized. One thing about Casey, he handled being a white Qb at a HBCU very well. He was thick skinned. You don't see that often.

True but Bowden also promised the kid from Stephen F. Austin the starting job as soon as Bowden came to Akron Univ. So obviously Bowden like this kid for a while now..Also Akron WR sucked and his oline sucked...Now you are right that he has to come in and be better than Casey not to get criticized but I think he can handle it Casey was from the hood so he fit in well as far as dealing with the fans and pressure and JSU loved him for it....Clayton is from Louisville,MS the country but I think he can handle it...also Casey will be there to help with the qb's while he is finishing up school....

But the lineup may look like:

1. Moore (Sr)
2. Ivy (Fr)
3. DMac (Sr)
 
If he plays well, he'll be fine. Moore has the talent and experience, no reason to believe he won't do well at JSU.
 
JR, I would never say that I know more about a QB than Bowden. I am sure he knows what he is looking for but my point is that his choice is not an indictment on Moore. This dude has done well everywhere he has gone. To me, Spears runs a spread too but he didn't like Bridges because he wanted a pocket passer. Same could be true here. Regardless, I am happy Bowden made his decision. I am sure he knows what he wants and Moore wasn't it.

As for fitting in, Moore played at Louisville...do you know the makeup of that team and community? He will be better prepared for JSU than Casey, who had never even heard of HBCUs.

JR Casey got so comfortable that he dropped his latino girlfriend for one of the cutest little sisters on our soccer team..

TP is right. My wife is from Louisville. Moore will be right at home at JSU.

Not buying that...if he was that talented why didn't someone else pick him up when Ole Miss rescinded their scholly to him...he had to try to get his own at Syracuse and they pass...Sounds like an undiscipline athlete to me...But good luck trying to make him a better athlete than Casey almighty!

Ahh...........He was a dandy Dozen Selection in 2008 as QB for Louisville Highschool. I saw him play and he is good. Not saying he will win the Starting QB position but he is good.

As for the last part, no wonder certain schools in the swas stay wack. :smh:

TSU can't even keep their best black players from transferring and in here talking about JSU and the white savior that just hit campus on his own 1 day ago.

Once again you come in here with a statement lacking any kid of common sense...Everyone close to JSU knew DMac wasnt the answer period...DMac has been there since 2008 and hasnt done squat but make bonehead decisions...Thats why have recruited the 3Star kid from Illinois who may be better than any of these sad qbs in the SWAC...As far as coaching qbs up that has been address with the hire of a qb coach...Clayton Moore chose to come to JState he wasnt actively recruited he wanted to come Jackson but again ur speaking off of HATE instead of knowledge! :smh:

It amazes me that Southern has a QB who looks and plays like a junior varsity high school kid and Texas Southern doesnt have a qb worth mentioning are talking...Please! :lol:

As Bowden stated this summer that Clayton Moore didnt fit his system he wanted more of a pocket passer instead of a qb who likes to run alot so he gave him the opportunity to stay or transfer....

Unless he has fallen off the wagon, dude was good in high school and he won the JUCO state championships. His stats were great and his team went 10-2. The last time we had such a QB, we won the SWAC. We about to run TxSo and SU off the field. I like the film I saw on him. He and Ivy both look perfect for our system.
 
We, along with Comegy, see the stable of quarterbacks we have coming into the season. You have to be stuck on stupid if you think Comegy is out looking for the next white savior. Comegy looks for talent period, and the guy is talented. Is he better than Casey? We'll see on Sept. 1st.

He did suck against us with the azz whippingb our offense put on ya'll. My point was in response to all that white savior BS put out by one of your own.

My point was TSU's best player, not JSU, not GRAM, not UAPB............. BUT TSU's BEST PLAYER WOULD RATHER TRANSFER TO A PORTLAND STATE, than finish his playing time at TSU.

JSU is bringing in PLAYERS.........not black, not white, etc.............PLAYERS.
And they have started seeking us out instead of us seeking them out. This is the second QB that has signed up at JSU out of the blue in the last month. Now the total QB's fighting for the position is at 8 and counting.

Every since the Casey story I told u guys that people would be knocking on the door to replace him at JSU well u are know seeing the proof and at the end of the day this kid may not eve start for Mighty JSU.....U guys seemed worried...
