JSU - Motown 30 1990

Boom. Don't encourage the back and forth. LOL.

As for this thread

Great performance by the Boom. Had me hyped when I saw it back in the day. I was proud of my homeboys repping the SWAC like that and told ole Dowell he had reached the pinnacle at JSU.... little did I know that would be the last year for my homeboy. SMH. Anyway, can't we all get along on here. Everyone has opinions and such. Jukes and Boomers alike are passionate about their bands. Some more so than others. But it is all good. Heck this board needs some life. Done got quite boring on the band board after everyone left. Need a little stir every once in awhile. This used to be band version of the smack board once upon a time. Kind of miss that a little bit.

Anyway carry on.

JR, he's good. It really isn't that serious....at least not for me.

Ol Alturion Spruille (msp), my crazy frat bruh. LOL. I think he was in Arizona for awhile or may still be out there.

Back to the topic
Waiting for my homeboy Taylor-Made90 to enter this thread on his cameo appearance on camera.

Great perfomance and folks should leave it at that. I do understand what is being said though. It would be a diservice to all SWAC bands to say that was the best performance ever. Even too ex-Boom members that may be a reach. Again a great performance for it's setting no doubt. I usually reserve best ever performances for marching bands to the halftime shows I have seen over the years. But that's me. Stands, parades, guest appearances in commericals or tv...etc....should never overshadow your best field show. But that is another thread. LOL.

JR, this is why you shouldn't just take the words of someone who has no semblance of subjectivity when it comes to The BOOM. My comment was prefaced with the term, "perhaps ONE of the greatest". I don't recall saying it was THE greatest.
I haven't seen all of The BOOM's performances, so I can't make that call.

Here's the statement:
Perhaps one of the greatest shows of all time on a national stage by a SWAC band.

In the meantime, still waiting......:snicker:

As someone who truly hates JSU, I gotta admit they sounded nice in this clip. Man bands were so real in the 70-92 time frame.
