JSU, I Heard It Through The Grapevine Sounded a Hot Mess In 1993 Compared To 1990

^^^^

A LONG time ago but he knows that overall, JSU has the better band. That is why he hates us so much.

Trp, what "truths"? huh? The only things ya'll ever say is ya'll ain't never been gotten the better of. Not only JSU but others around the country always say that year in and year out that JSU and SU are the top bands in the SWAC. Ya'll don't wanna hear it. All you want to ever hear is SU is the best and you get upset that people put JSU and SU on the same level and YOU hate that. There are several times from the 80's thru today where JSU has gottin in your azz and times when ya'll have got in ours. Why is a subliminal message needed to say that?

In terms of "All-Around Marching Band" SU and JSU are nowhere on the same level.

I think SU did a gospel show in Jackson in 1993 so when JSU got on the field poppin and dancing, the energy had been sucked outta the crowd by that confusing SU show. We were like, are we supposed to be praising God one minute and then cheering humping the ground the next?

TP...you always manage to throw something in that'll make folks wonder about what you really saw and heard from both bands back in the day. SU did the "L" drill to "That's the Way Love Is"...so, I doubt that's it. I don't think SU's ever done an actual gospel show against JSt. Off the top of my head...playing "Believe In Me" is about the only possible gospel song played on the field against Jax35.

And, then to blame SU for JSt.'s crowd sitting on their hands during the boom's show...:smh:

I have the tape of that halftime CB. SU did do the L-drill to "That's The Way Love Is" but they did not do a dance routine. They made the cross on the field came off to "Call Him Up". Either way, Gospel or secular, it was a clean show with energy. But not an entire gospel show.

I would have loved to see what the dance routine was supposed to be. It had to be wack for Doc to zip it. That's the equivalent of when Doc brings out the Super 7 instead of the Dolls. lol

...exactly.

While Im thinking about it, JSt. needs to seriously make one of those substitutions for the band. Let the JSettes drill.

Classic reply!
You obviously have no real marching band knowledge. I'll move on now.

So ya'll can say  but we supposed to respond to you?

You got me twisted and the Logical One has never even heard of you.

Besides, my comments to you have nothing to do with the opinions of the thousands who see JSU vs SU live or on the internet.

All I know is that SU show put us to sleep and going from Praise Him to a JSU DM intro was just weird. Word on the street is that you all did the gospel show becasue your BD felt ya'll needed Jesus for something that occured the previous week. That show was punishment. It was punishment for JSU fans too.

And I guess I'm suppose to know who you are?? "Oh Logical One". GTFOH! lol
Just like you, don't get my comments to you twisted with any other SU folks. I'm pretty sure we can all back our own *ish up.
That "", is how someone else replied to you, not me dude. I'm asking you to explain your opinion on why you think JSU is a better all-around marching band(still no answer). The thousands you speak of obviously don't post on this message board. Most probably have never marched in a college band (or any band for that matter) so I could care less about their opinion. Are you one of those people? Validate your claim and back up the stuff you talk.

Either that, OR....and, this is the more probable suggestion...SU didn't think that highly of JSt and their crowd in the first place... I mean...that's who gets the gospel show at Mumford. So, considering you knew how Doc was, if a gospel show were to be taking on the road...then, that should tell ya something...:noidea:

yeah okay

(especially after what the BOOM and football team put on SUx in BR the year before...) yeah ok.

Oh I forgot..
