Before I became a member of the Boom, I started attending games in late 70's, beginning in 1977 when my brother was a freshman.

I've always known it to be the style that currently exists. Maybe not as flamboyant as now, but still the same style. I'm not sure of years prior to 1977.

It just those DM uniforms with those black boots kinda threw me off a bit; my mindset went straight to SU. :emlaugh:

The drum majors during my years (1979-1983) were Walter Bishop (Hawk) and Kenny (can't remember his last name) and St. Augustine (Morris Armstrong). Morris marched alone the first year.

Micheal Bethea & Morris Armstrong were there my first year.

Then it was Morris Armstrong and Skip.

St. Aug and Skip was the last duo of DM's JSU had.
After that, they went to 3 when Ira Vaun and James Berry came along.

What about Baby Woo doing all them fast arse pushup's, screaming the count out, pissing off St. Aug off standing over him at College Park or Terry Bennett telling St. Aug "I ain't Renaldo Neiamiah" when he was supposed to do laps. :xeye:
