I can't help but shake my head at this mind-numbing ignorance. That the city, county and state will benefit from the stadium is no secret knowledge that you all hold. It's not hard to realize that's true and to see why they would be interested in contributing. I never said the feds, county or city wouldn't be willing to help. The only entity that I suggested may offer some resistance is the state. You have to admit that's true.

My statement about funding streams was made simply to clarify that there were not 14 funding streams available to BUILD the stadium as some of your people seem to believe. Some of those will be available before and during construction. Some afterwards.

There's no need for me to argue whether a tax credit is beneficial or not. I never said it generated cash, but it's laughable that you think it's not a financial benefit.

What you're witnessing is groupthink. Any opinion other than the one they hold is a threat to them whether the opinion is valid or not. It's sad that it's so common among supposedly educated people.

Groupthink is a psychological phenomenon that occurs within a group of people, in which the desire for harmony or conformity in the group results in an incorrect or deviant decision-making outcome. Group members try to minimize conflict and reach a consensus decision without critical evaluation of alternative ideas or viewpoints, and by isolating themselves from outside influences.​

Them folks are grown and entitled to their opinions Beans. Nobody goes and gets your folks when they are out of line. Yall cosign everything any JSU cat says when it comes to SU. We are not. But now you see how it is. When we say it, we are whining and need to take our medicine and every thing any JSU person says about SU has to be the truth right? IJS.

But back to the topic. I hope JSU and the city gets this because that's my hometown. So I have a different perspective than maybe some of my fellow Jags. I know what impact it can have on the city itself. This is bigger than JSU, but JSU will benefit. But hopefully the City, County and State can see this and be on board with no reservations once all the numbers have been presented.

That's all I have to say on the matter. I will let yall go back to :argue2: about it when probably no one on TSPN is involved in getting this done. I wish JSU luck and hope it happens. As long as we play you mofos then I will be in that Dome making some noise when SU comes to town.

TC don't have that kind of power anymore. He just on the board now. Not the Chair of the Board. He got his arse tore up for all that by other Board folks and BR business people for supporting that move. He too busy saying Gram should be under SU's System now. LOL.

The plan is 15K students by 2021. They are behind schedule to reach that target but trust me Meyers is making moves to get us in that direction. She had to fire some people we were not on their recruiting jobs. ..this semester we had our highest enrollment ever AND our largest group of honor students ever.

You mentioned our AD earlier in this thread. If you notice, you have NEVER seen her name tied to the dome. She didn't even make the announcement. This is all Ms. Carolyn, Hoard and Rennick. Those THREE are running JSU inside and out.

JR, I didn't read all that man, but if it says that you're scared of your folks, then we may need to revoke your MS citizenship and stop you at the state lines from now on. No more barbershop stories from you.

Oh I understand. That's why I said the AD will not be there when the shovel hits the dirt. Hopefully Meyers haven't tied herself to tightly to ole Vivian either or it may cost her as well once the FADED ONE as yall call her has her day in court with them lawsuits. Some of your JSU folks have told me a few other tidbits on how some other stuff may just hang Carolyn too in relation to Vivian. But none of that will stop progress on the Dome thing. That's all sidebar anyway and not even relevant. As long as key JSU people are pushing this with other entities outside of JSU, I think it is a great possibility of happening. I sincerely hope so. Jackson needs this in the worse way to keep going forward.

Yeah I am hearing that as well. LOL. Rick trying to hold on though. Going to hard to let him go if he wins the SCG. But I know what you are saying long term. He will not get to coach in that Dome as a JSU coach for sure. That I do believe. I give Rick 2-3 more seasons at JSU. He should be able to retire anyway by then. Unless he just tanks the rest of the season or gets a job offer he can't refuse. I expect to see ole Rick next season or so. I actually think he has done a pretty good job this year.
 
Well JR, just tell them in your forum to STFU since.they don't know what they are talking about. That's if they are in your forum, but if they are not, then just tell them here. I'm sure they will get the message.
