JSU' Bobby Braddy talks

I think they would travel to Jackson. Jackson has a big name, can't deny that. First game anticipation and the school's former coach. I think they would get up for a game in Jackson. Just because a school doesn't get up for one school means they are like that for every school.

....I feel'ya lol

'Skegee a cool school to play and everything; but all that, "they travel well" stuff aint happening; especially a trip to Jackson,Ms. Hell Skegee dont be deep in games in Mobile Alabama.

"Snake"

How many times has TU played in Mobile besides their game with Texas Southern? You can go to YouTube and see that TU has a better traveling fan base than most of our schools in the SWAC. That's real. Didn't they play yall in the CCC two years in a row?

I know anyone from A&M isn't talking about fanbase. The only game the bama schools travel to is the MCC. Maybe Tuskegee thinks A&M isn't travel worthy. That can be a factor also.

....I agree that they will get up for the game, some, but not the masses of TU fans that will make the attendance 25-35K.

I recall reading somewhere in another thread about the Mighty FAMU not showing up in big numbers to Jackson when they played there years ago. I think we fail to realize and accept that folks/schoools dont get up for schools where they dont have a long standing tradition/history with. 'Skegee have big crowds against the Albanys, Morehouse, Bama State, etc., because of the history they have playing them annually and they have become rivalrys. With Jackson State, the average TU fan aint gone hit the road to Jackson like that because it "aint that deep". The TU fans aint like JSU, SU, etc., fans where they hit the road regardless of who they are playing.

I hope you feel what I'm saying.

You can't be serious, bruh.

1. FAMU doesn't bring fans ANYWHERE other than to big classics and to SC State. I went to plenty of MEAC games growing up and they never brought a crowd to A&T, Norfolk or Hampton. Black bastids only get up for Atlanta, Orlando, and Orangeburg.

2. I have seen Tuskegee bring large crowds to schools that they do not have a history with like Stillman, JC Smith, Benedict, Kentucky State, etc. TU's traveling fan base is better than most SWAC schools, including AAMU. Tuskegee played at Winston-Salem State the same day we played NCA&T in 2002 and they had just as many fans as the Rams.

3. I bet if you look at all of the SIAC schools' attendance, you'll see that TU is usually their highest attended game outside of their Homecomings.

...c'mon bruh.

You said they travel well and I gave an example of a TU traveling game IN Alabama where the attendance could've been better. Oh so that dont count? You dont play fair lol

They probably don't take A&M, Miles and Bama State serious since they beat up on them a lot. Who wants to go see their team constantly beat up on someone?

 Snake, I have seen TU travel well and take over stadiums in Charlotte, Atlanta, Columbia, SC, and Winston-Salem. You mean to tell me that TU didn't bring a large crowd to Indianapolis both years that they played AAMU?

....Bruh? Indianapolis is a major classic; hell yea they fans show up, even our(A&M) fans show up in decent numbers.

At any rate, I'm not disputing anything that you know about Skegee showing up in the past to different cities. I'm just basing my opinion on what I know and experiences by going to school in the state of Alabama, traveling with Skegee folks (frat isht, etc.), and just knowing their vibe and how they roll. The same with you knowing how Valley, Alcorn, etc., all them schools get down. But hey, if you confident that they will travel real deep to Jackson, making the attendance soar, rock own with your bad self my jigga lol!

 All that I'm saying is that a TU game in Jackson will have a way better attendance than playing Delta State and they will definately bring more fans to Memorial than these other sorry schools in our conference.

I wouldn't be shocked if TU fans dont show up in big numbers being realistic.......if we do end up playing them it will be a crowd of about 25 or 30 thousand majority JSU fans and the TU crowd will look just like the Delta State fan base this past season.....

TU will travel in droves to Jackson, CB. They won't travel like SU or Alcorn but they will bring more fans than any other SWAC school. Check out the clips on YouTube of their games outside of Alabama. If they can bring a large crowd to Columbia, SC, Charlotte, and Atlanta, I know they won't have a problem bringing a large crowd to Jackson.

smh who is gonna bring a crowd to Jackson on Labor Day weekend? waiting on that response because I cant think of anybody!

HOLD UP!....HOLD UP!.... HOLD DA GOTT DANG UP!

This can't be you over here whining about ...attendance!!!!

Here's another clue young man.

It's called a home game, it isn't the duty of the other teams fans to fill up your stadium. (Sounds like your form the 70's or 80's with that line of think)

It's the dudty of the home fans to fill their own stadium up. (See: Ole Miss/Tenn.)

Since you wanna be like somebody else set your sites higher and be like them and stop looking for somebody else to do what you're suppose to be doing?

Bluedog, I can honestly say, without a doubt, that JSU will have at least 25,000 fans in Memorial during Labor Day regardless of who we play...especially with so much talent returning this fall.

If that's the case, we need not worry about the opponent.

That's not my point with him. He's on another thread b!t@hin and moaning bout all most of us do is think about attendance when we should be thinking about winning because that's all he cares about, now I find him over here b!t@chin and moaning about attendance.

Go figure

Or Montgomery AL

If that's the case, we need not worry about the opponent.

The opponent can be the difference in about 5K fans. However, I agree with nonchalant, the AAMU game last year showed me how the team will show if we are winning. I think that will carry over into the new season. Also, people will be looking out for the season ticket deal this year. I say we hit 10,000 this year. I have heard that TU does not travel well from some TU alums but I heard that their home games be "crunk". ...the student section anyway. At this point, I say lets see if we can get them. Cant hurt to see with our own eyes what they will bring.

JSU fans come out when we are winning or when they play an opponent of interest. We even had close to 30K come out to see us play Howard once right after Howard won the Heritage Bowl. Jackson was hyped about playing Howard. When FAMU and JSU were top teams in the 90's we drew 40K for a FAMU game but most of those were JSU fans. When JSU started to suck, games vs FAMU and Howard dropped in attendance as they do with any games we play. JSU fans only come out to support a winner. With the team we return, I expect no less than 20K fans at any game in Memorial this fall.

Nupe, let me handle this..

Blue,

1. We are going to play a D2 school more than likely so the win is "in the bag"

2. That leaves us to discuss other intangibles such as attendance, our fan's interest in the opponent, opponents band traveling to Jackson, etc....
