If you had been around after Oct 13th last year when The Mandingo Warrior explained this, you would have known. Quit running from the board and youwould know this.

yes it does, and this is no smack on this subject, cause I take this subject seriously.....the FAM game was an ambush for us.....nobody was gonna beat them that night and especially not us because our rivalry was very heated at that time, but we did beat Hampton earlier that season in Indy. But when it was time to win it all we didn't do the job, not an excuse, but I think the factors of winning the BC in such dramatic fashion, then winning the Championship game the way we did and then having to go the very next week and get right back up and play a team we had already beat, well it was tough and we let ourselves and the conference down that day. So yes this issue applies to all of us when we step out of the conference and play.

The FAMU game was not an ambush...an ambush is when you DONT know you are about to face an opponent. GR is sure you knew you were going to play FAMU for at least 9 months before they embarrassed you and you embarrassed the conference.

In the middle of all those excuses for letting th e conference down, IB4 says:

So since you guys embarrassed the SWAC so badly by getting your ASS drug in a non conference game, do you want to close this thread down now or try to change the subject to try and cover up you mishap?

You sure are right. I remember how embarrassed I was when you guys won the SWAC but got that ass kicked up and down and up and down the field by FAMU. That was a sad day in the SWAC, dont you think?

A "smart" man would have noted that the majority of Jackson residents don't use that term or use "Jacksonian", but of course, YOU decided it would be better to laugh at me for making fun of your city ..... brilliant.

It does, however, fit with what will happen on this page this year. Y'all are gonna be like Samsonite, packed and ready to run off the page like that period you don't think existed.

I sure do thinkthat was a sad day/night, but at least I can say they at least play on our level.....yall on the other hand lost to a team that is below our level in a championship year.....now that is embarrasing, even you in all your different persons can see that. And I know JayRob can understand that too, I mean since he is smarter than me and all.:smh::smh::smh:

You are right GR. We did get drug that night and it was embarrassing. No excuse for that game at all.

That same year, we lost to a Hampton team we beat earlier in the year. EVEN.

What else happened that year GR?

And speaking of FAMU, when will Jackson State step back up to the plate? I believe the last time they ventured to Jackson was 1998? I mean, you don't count 2003-2005 anyway so mentioning the Detroit game would be moot. Why did y'all play them from 1999 till 2003, coming off a 45-7 loss in 1998?

1999 -- Southern loses to FAMU 65-18
1998 -- Jackson State loses to FAMU 45-7

Difference?

Southern actually stepped back up in 2000 whereas someone else ran from FAMU.
 
I dont know...prolly for the same reason Pete ran from competition for a looong time. You remember Pete started playing Texas College and Miles and Benedict dont you?

But that aint what this is about. This is about winning the conference but getting your ass beat OOC. Aint that what yall brought up?
