JSU 2015 NFL Pro Day

Nobody expected any of these dudes ro make it to the NFL. So y'all can ride the high road back to where you came from. If they really wanted to go to the league they knew doggone well that waiting until after their final game to begin to prepare was not the answer. I would hope our coaches would require more work, but those guys know where the weightroom and track is. Have some initiative.

After drafting those boys first round a few years back and embarrassing BCF for ever, I wouldn't take none of their players either. I don't think we ever recovered from them first round bust boys. What ever happened to those dudes anyway? They at the waffle house or something?
You know what, you're right! One of those dudes was named in the top 10 for NFL Busts in the last 20 years. I was thinking maybe Denny's but I think Waffle House might be a little better

And what does this have to do with JSU's pro day?

Those cats at JSU's Pro Day were more than likely not gonna get drafted anyway. They were fringe prospects to begin with.
They still could've been looked as undrafted free agents, which will make it close to impossible.

Well, me personally I never been a big fan of using the 40 time as a measuring stick of athleticism. If anything, the bench press is more important than the 40 time. No need in being fast in the 40 if you cannot do accurate route running (Dez Bryant had to learn this when Derek Dooley became WR Coaches). From a lineman standpoint, quick feet are more important running a fast 40 time. Zone Blocking requires quick feet, reaction time, and Strength. Speed is not so much a factor. You just have to as we call it "beat the lineman off the ball".

I am not about knock young men trying to make a living and following their dreams. You be tough on them when they put on that SWAC uniform and step on that gridiron but when it comes to life away from the gridiron or outside our SWAC Schools I support them 100%. The Space between being a Senior in his final semester of high school or college and preseason of the next level is always the most difficult because it requires self-discipline.

Y'all are in here acting like a bunch of fuckin girls. This is not a scandal and can't be twisted into such. This is something I've never seen before in my life but hopefully it is a slice of humble pie and a wake up call to every hbcu athlete. You have to work twice as hard to be given an unfair shot at the big league, short cuts get you embarrassed on your pro day. This isn't a laughing matter .

JSU fans are cut throat lol

Aren't these the same players JSU fans boast about being so great every season...and now that they are out of that JSU uniform its "Those guys sucked anyway."

I'm not saying be easy or soft on those players, but damn, it's tough being kicked out of your own pro day and your school not even having your back.

With all the nonstop, over the top BS that's put out by some Jsu folks on here, this story is ripe with enough stuff to carry over to fall practice.

But I won't. I'm just gonna stay on the high road.

Hope it all works out. And more importantly, I hope those guys are getting their degrees.
I peeped in this thread this morning, read the article and a few posts and thought to myself, you brothers are cool as a fan.

In my Bodie Brodus voice, "If this were the old days."

In my Slim Charles voice, "Well the thing about the old days, they the old days."

That's a good legal defense move right there. :) Grabs popcorn...

Of course I am not going to read all of this BUT JSU is STILL the most talented team in the SWAC and it's not even close. Look at the end of the season. When our coaches changed some of the defensive sets, we showed Alcorn who had the best defense in the conference. However, I will say that in last 2-3 years, we became short on talent and even OMJ said that we have VERY good talent just enough of it. Once the NCAA cut our scholarship limits, Viv never gave Comegy all of his scholarships back (according to Comegy). OMJ has a full allotment. Going 3-4 years with his scholarships cut was not fair to Comegy. Now OMJ has had to spend time making up for it. Just get ready for JSU.. the most talented team in BCF, to get back to whoopin ya'll azz!

That's true. A few JSU posters have been saying that the players they have brought in is way better than the rest of the SWAC teams. Truth is that we are all just about even when it comes to talent.

We do KNOW that teams like BAMA State were SUPPOSED to have better talent than JSU but they always lose to us.. :snicker:
