Latest Update!!

This is an update!!! :o

The Georgia Dome astroturf caused Mo' Hicks injury; not JSU.

1. Penny (on Goodtimes) was burned by an iron and not her
mom.

2. Weezy (on tha Jeffersons) was robbed by a gun and not a
robber.

3. Monica was fondle by a cigar and not President Clinton.
(I guess that is why he beat those allegations).

4. Eugene was inspired by William Roaf and not those chicken
baskets at that chicken place across the tracks.

5. Birds fly south for winter cause they want a sun tan and
vacation and not because of the cold weather.

How are they able to get a 12 game schedule?

I thought the NCAA mandates no schedules above 11. The only exception to this rule that I know of is if you play Hawaii and if you play in one of the pre-season classic games. I don't see neither on their schedule.

What's up with that????
In 2002 and 2003 ALL D1 schools are allowed to play 12 games if they want. This will continue to happen every few years.

I found a copy of North Carolina A&T's 2002 schedule:

*Jackson State Univ.........................................Home
*Tougaloo College......................................................Away
*Jim Hill High School..........The Taco Bell Even Matchup Classic
*Stillman College........................................................Away
*SPELMAN COLLEGE...................................................Away
*New Heights Baptist Church Dance Ministy..........Sanctuary
*Oak Park Jr. High........Mid Season "Keep Hope Alive" Classic
*Duke.......................................................Duke's Homecoming
*(N.C. High School State Champions) TBA..................Home
*Virginia School of Hair and Nails...............................Home
*Florida A&M Univ.......................................................Home

After getting beat up something terrible by USM, they can forget about traveling up to Blue Death Valley the next week and upsetting A&T. We haven't lost to a SWAC school in 11 years. We're not about to start now. Then after we're done with JSU, Tennesse State will feast on whatever's left of them. My guess is it won't be much.

Then Grambling in the moon crater, Northwestern State at home, Southern in the Superdome.....

Now that you think about, 6-5 doesn't really sound all that bad.

I'm like Mack Of The SWAC. I want to know how you got a record of 6-5 out of a 12 game season??? If you have 12 games, these are the choices of records you have to choose from.

0-12, 1-11, 2-10, 3-9, 4-8, 5-7, 6-6, 7-5, 8-4, 9-3, 10-2, 11-1, 12-0.

I don't believe I see a 6-5 out of these choices. I see why you are in the MEAC.

It's funny how someone can win a game only by a touchdown in a game that would have been tied despite drop balls on the last 2 plays of the game, but then talk about demolishing somone the next time they play. As fot the TSU game. The game last season meant nothing, unlike the games in 99 and 2000. 2002 will show JSU's old form over TSU. USM will probably be the only loss of the season, at worst there will be 2 losses next season.

Sonic,

What "old form" are you talking about?

TSU has beating JSU three times in 4 year's, only a missed extra point kept it from being 4 straight.

I do agree AT&T should'nt put up much of a fight but you're just being overly optimistic about your chances against TSU.

STFU!

Sounding like your pitiful excuse for a coach. :D Every game should mean SOMETHING.

Just for the record you chumps..........lol

Southern Heritage Classic winner:

2001- TSU
2000-JSU
1999-TSU
1998-TSU
1997-JSU
1996-JSU
1995-JSU
1994-JSU
1993-JSU
1992-JSU
1991-JSU
1990-JSU

*smh*

Nigggis will pick and choose years to talk about want they.
LOL

I think this is the "old form" sonic was reffering to....anymore questions?
:lmao:

Talk about "picking and choosing..." I choose these years. Or I could choose some years in the 70s and 80s.

Choose whateva years you want, but history still shows that JSU is holdin the edge over you all.

Looks like JSU is going to start off the season 0-4. Somebody from JSU QUOTE ME ON THIS.

JSU did not just have a 4-7 season and JW has a better record than every coach in the SWAC other than Doug. That will change this year. Gram won't be that good. You all don't have to cry for JSU. We might not be the JSU of old but we are still the ones who can kick your sorry collective arses. JSU can win every game on our schedule next year depending on how we respond to key issues in the off season. In other words, we still ain't skerd of none of you punks. We have Kent, Manning, Goss, Counselor and potentially the best o-line in BCF. We also have some newcomers on offense and defense that will complement our slew of returning starters well.

Some teams that you all think will be good, won't (like TSU and AAMU in 2001). JSU will always be there to kick arse. Believe that!!!! Starting off 0-4 is not even a possibility. We will win at least 8 games but don't be surprised when our final record has a 10 or higher as the first number.

A&T will be our first EASY win so you can count 0-4 out already.

You must be buggin!

I hope you don't believe this foolishness!

However if you do; go ahead and stick a quarter in your a$$, because you just played yourself!

Sweet dreams were made of these.....

TP,

You and I both know that 0-1 doesn't stand a chance in Blue Death Valley. We haven't lost to a swac team in 11 years and we aren't about to start now.

Last year Hayes relied too much on our running game and it came back to haunt us when the top three backs got injured. Now that Mo is gone and we have an influx of blue chip wide receivers (2 first team all-staters, 2 d1 transfers) on our roster, we will be more balanced than ever before.

I just hope that we don't redshirt the freshman QB, Marshall Glenn (the top rated QB in the state), because I have a feeling he is better than Kent. Ok maybe not better (LOL!), but you get my point.

BTW: We still have the entire secondary coming back and you remember how many passes Kent threw to them. I think they caught more than your receivers.

BlacknBlueBengal(which I'm sure you are after TSU tagged JSU for 64) you might want to check this, but, the series is tied.

Look's to me like if there is a team regaining it's "old" form it's TnSTATE.

Tiger 1,

Man that was funny as hell. Save some of that for Grambling or Southern (if we play them this year) JSU is S_ _.

Tiger1,

I was talking about TxSo.

BT,

Of all the losses JSU had last year, A&T is the ONE that we should not have have had. Ala State was also a BIG fluke but not nearly as bad as A&T. At least ASU had offense and special teams. A&T sucked on offense and DEFENSE. Ain't nobody scared of that secondary. This will be a VERY easy win for JSU.
